Microsoft announced the purchase of Bethesda- The largest agreement

The agreement was officially announced by both parties.

Today is a very special day and we’re bringing some of the most distinguished studios in the gaming industry to the Xbox team. We are thrilled to announce that Microsoft has reached an agreement to purchase ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks.

• ZeniMax Online Studios
• Arkane
• MachineGames
• Tango Gameworks
• Alpha dog
• Roundhouse studios

The deal is estimated at $7.5 billion. According to Bloomberg, this is the largest agreement of its kind in the history of the gaming industry.

Bethesda noted that the agreement should only affect the company for the better, and the process of developing current games will not change.

Most importantly, we are still Bethesda. We are working on the same games as yesterday, they are made by the same studios that we have worked with for years, and all these games will be published by us.
