No Man’s Sky Outlaws: Unlocking New Ships, New Stations, and Wearing a Cape

The new update for No Man’s Sky is up and it’s called Outlaws, they have added some cool new features in this update and we’ll be going through the new features in this guide.

Wingmen New Ships

Before you guys get new wingmen, go to your bridge room in your freighter and access the console where you manage your fleets. Now there you’ll see Manage Squadron. Select it and you have to unlock all the 4 squadron slots. To unlock these squadrons, it’ll consume nanites which is the currency of this game.

• 1st Squadron slot will be for 800 nanites.
• 2nd Squadron slot will be for 3,500 nanites.
• 3rd Squadron slot will be for 7,500 nanites.
• 4th Squadron slot will be for 10,000 nanites.

After buying all the 4 squadron slots now you can store up to nine ships and to get new wingmen you need to go to the pirate area in the space. Open the intergalactic map and you want to look for a space wherein the conflict says pirate controlled. Find that area of space and travel to it.

Land into the freighter and there’ll be ships coming for you to purchase as well as you can recruit lifeform to your squadron slot. Look for the ship you desire and you can offer a trade for the ship as well as you can recruit the seller and add it as your wingman to your Squadron slot.

New Stations

These pirate-controlled spaces are going to have these outlaw stations that have different shops and markets. You can find NPCs here as well and you can talk to them. There’ll be shops for your spaceship parts and scraps. There’ll also be bounty masters in this place so you can start bounties and raids. You can buy goods for yourself and the ship as well from a vendor in this place.

Wear a Cape

You can attach a cape to your appearance now as well, just go to the appearance modifier on any station or your base. Go down the customization section and you’ll see a backpack tab in which you can select the Jetpack Trail, Backpack Style, and Customize Cape. Select the customized cape and choose a style from it and you can also choose three different color portions as well. The primary color, Secondary color, and Accent color for your cape.
