Once Human: How to Make Crossbow & Arrows

The future post-apocalyptic world is filled with deviants and monstrous creatures that you will encounter throughout your journey. Once Human offers several weapons that players can use for defense but getting them will require exploration and game progression. However, one of the early weapons that players are advised to make is a Crossbow to fend off the attacking Deviants.

This guide will help you how to make a crossbow and arrows in Once Human.

How to Make a Crossbow & Arrows in Once Human

The crossbow is one of the initial weapons that players can unlock by setting up a Campsite. It does not require any blueprint to unlock its recipe and players can make it at the Campsite. Once players have set up a campsite, they can craft a Rustic Crossbow at the Simple Crafting Bench. However, crafting the Rustic Crossbow will require 25x Log.

Logs can be obtained by breaking down the trees. Go close to any tree and hold the interaction key to start breaking down the tree. As you break the tree, your character will gather logs. Once you have 25x Log, go to the campsite and interact with the simple crafting bench. Navigate to the Weapon Crafting tab and then select the Rustic Crossbow. Now, hold the crafting button to make the Rustic Crossbow.

To use a crossbow, you need arrows. Fortunately, arrows can also be crafted at the Simple Crafting Bench. You need the following materials to craft arrows.

• 10x Log
• 10x Gravel

Gravel is stones that you can get by mining the rocks. Similar to gathering logs by breaking trees, you can gather Gravel by mining rocks. All you have to do is find a rock and then hold the interaction key to start mining it and your character will gather gravel. However, if you have a Pickaxe, then you will gather more Gravel at a high speed.

Once you have the required materials, head back to the campsite and interact with the crafting bench. Select the Arrow recipe and then hold the crafting button to craft 5 arrows. It will take 5 seconds for 5 arrows to be crafted and if you craft more than one arrow recipe, they will be added to the queue.

Lastly, don’t forget to take the arrows from the Crafting Queue section at the bottom left. Now, that you have both the crossbow and the arrows, you will be able to fight off the deviants and the monsters from a safe distance.
