In this guide, we’ll be covering the 2nd chapter of Sherlock Holmes the Awakened.

The Blood-Red Night – Walkthrough

Go through the starting cutscene of the chapter and make your way to the Pub. You will find a Barmaid on the counter of the pub. Interact with the barmaid and observe her. Focus on all of the Yellow Wisps on her body and then select the “Tries to hide her pregnancy” option. Now, go through the dialogues to learn about Roy Solsby.

After talking to her, go out of the pub from the other side and pin the Roy Solsby evidence to ask the bystanders. Go ahead on the path and ask the bystanders to learn that Roy Solsby can be found the Dockyard. As you go ahead, you will reach the Shanty Town. There will be a poster nearby on the wall that you can pick up and it will get you the “Missing Person” evidence.

Before you cross the river, go to the red side on the wooden path to reach a home with a Red Flag. Go inside the house to find a Young Boy. Speak to the boy and go through all of the dialogues to unlock the “Nepali Boy’s Testimony” evidence. After talking to him, investigate the shrine next to the boy to get the “Ammonite Pendant” evidence.

Find Roy Solsby

Now, go outside of the house and make your way cross to the other side of the Shanty Town. Ask the bystanders about Roy Solsby and one of the persons will tell you that Roy Solsby is checking on the exploded ship near the Third Pier. Now, make your way ahead until you reach the large ship.

Go up on the dockyard and walk on the platform until you see a guy standing with a barrel with a light on it.  Go near the person and you will find Roy Solsby. You will get to Provide Evidence to Roy Solsby and you need to select the following evidence.

  • Solsby’s Calling Card
  • Nepali Boy’s Testimony

After that, you will get the option to observe Roy. Observe Roy and then select the “Corrupt Officer” option to add Character Portrait: Roy Solsby evidence as well as Roy Solsby’s Testimony evidence.

Go Back to the Pub

After talking to Roy Solsby, fast travel to the Pub to talk to the Barmaid again. Ask her about the person with a metallic eye to learn about Dirty Sommers. After that, provide evidence of Missing Poster. Go through the dialogues and then you will be able to solve the first Mind Palace of second chapter.

Open the Case Book and go into the Mind Palace Tab. Select the “Who abducted Kimihia?” puzzle to start solving it. Now, you need to select the following pieces of evidence in order to solve the “Who abducted Kimihia?” puzzle.

  • Roy Solsby’s Testimony
  • Nepali Boy’s Testimony
  • Character Portrait: Roy Solsby
  • Barmaid’s Testimony

By selecting the correct evidence, it will solve the puzzle and you will get the “Kimihia’s Abductor” evidence.

Confront Roy Solsby

Now, fast travel to “Third Pier” and interact with Roy Solsby. You will get the option to confront him, Select the confront option and then select the pieces of evidence in the following order.

  • Kimihia’s Abductor
  • Solsby’s Calling Card
  • Character portrait: Roy Solsby

It will confront him successfully and you will learn that Dirty Sommers spend most of his time at the Pub and Roy Solsby has marked his Warehouse with Red Paint.

Confront Barmaid

After confronting Roy Solsby and getting information on Dirty Sommers, fast travel to the pub and interact with Barmaid. Select the confront option to confront her and then provide her evidence in the following order.

  • Kimihia’s Abductor
  • Roy Solsby’s Testimony
  • Character Portrait: Barmaid

It will confront Barmaid successfully and she will tell you about Dirty Sommers using the private room of the pub. She will give you the Rusty Key which you can use to go inside the private room of the pub. Go to the right side of the counter and open the door. Go inside the private room and investigate the room to find the following evidence.

  • Hiring Notice
  • Invoice for Sailcloth

After getting the evidence, you will have all of the evidence to solve the “Where is Kimihia? puzzle. Open the case book and go to the Mind Palace and select the “Where is Kimihia?” puzzle. Select the following pieces of evidence to solve the puzzle.

  • Roy Solsby’s Testimony
  • Invoice for Sailcloth
  • Hiring Notice

By selectin the correct evidence, it will solve the puzzle and you will get the “Kimihia’s Whereabouts” evidence.

Go to the Marked Warehouse

Now, you need to go to the Warehouse marked with a Red Paint. Go out of the Pub and go straight down the street. Enter a small area next to the crane and go to the right side to reach the warehouse. The warehouse will have 12 marked outside of it as well. The Warehouse will be locked so, you will have to open it. To unlock the Warehouse, you need to lift up the outside lock. Raise the left lock with 3, raise the middle lock with 4, and raise the right lock with 2. Now, press enter to open the lock and you will get inside the warehouse.

Now, you need to investigate the warehouse. Go up from the stairs and in interact with the machine on the left. It will be missing a crank and you will get the “Lifting Mechanism” evidence. Now, go downstairs and investigate the boxes. One of the boxes will have a crank inside of it. Pick up the crank and go back up the stairs.

Use the crank on the left machine and it will raise the platform. Now, go back down again and you will find a hidden passage. As you go ahead, you will get to the point of no return. If you want to explore more then don’t accept it and explore more. If you want to continue it then accept it to go onwards into the hidden passage.

Escape the Illusions

First illusion

As you go ahead into the hidden passage, you will enter into an illusion. It will be a mysterious place and you will see a strange structure ahead which will be missing something. Go ahead to reach the door and it will tell you “The only way forward is the Abyss”. Now, to get out of here, you need to jump down. You will not die but you will find a strange rock. Examine the rock and jump off again to get back to the starting area. Now, place the rock on the structure to open the door. Go through the door to get out of the first illusion.

Second illusion

Now, you will be in another illusion and you will have to drop down in the mouth of a monster. You will get to another area and you will have to go along the path until you see flying platforms. Listen to the sound and follow it to reach a mark. Stand on the mark to stable the platforms and then go ahead to cross the platforms to reach the door. Now, stand close to the door and look back. Use the concentration with Q Button and you will see an eye in front. It will open the door and simply go back to get through the second illusion.

Second Illusion

Third Illusion

You will reach the third and final illusion. You will be needing two rocks to open the door. There will be multiple doors around you so go to the door on the left and use concentration to see footprints. Now, look back and use concentration again to see the eye which will open the door behind you. Keep going back to go through the door and you will find the first rock. Now go back and place it on the structure in the middle and go to the door on the back. Use concentration again to see footprints and open the door ahead to find the second rock.

Now, go back and place the second rock on the structure and the illusion door will move far. Stand on the mark to stable the platform and go through the door to escape the final illusion.

Complete the Investigation

A small cutscene will play and after that, you will get to platy as Watson. Go down the secret passage and find Sherlock near the altar. You will get the control of Sherlock again. Go to the left corner and investigate the area to find the following evidence.

  • Advertisement Flyer
  • Passport
  • Tin Box with Edelweiss

Now, go to the other corner and investigate the area to find the Cross Inside Rectangle. Go to the body on the Altar and investigate it to get the “Unknown Man on the Altar” evidence. Now, head down the stairs and investigate the boxes to unlock a scene and then go to the right side and investigate the clothes to unlock the scene.

When you have unlocked all 5 Scenes, you need to set the following scenarios.

  • Scene 1 > Scenario 3
  • Scene 2 > Scenario 1
  • Scene 3 > Scenario 2
  • Scene 4 > Scenario 2
  • Scene 5 > Scenario 2
Complete Scene

It will successfully reconstruct the past with imagination and a cutscene will start. After the cutscene, you will be back in your apartment and you will have to solve the rest of the two mind Palace puzzles. Open the Case Book and go to the Mind Palace and select the “Who is the dead man on the Altar?”. Select the following pieces of evidence to solve the puzzle.

  • Unknown Man on the Altar
  • Passport
  • Advertisement Flyer

Solving the puzzle will unlock the “The Dead Man is Amos Colby” evidence. It will unlock the last Mind Palace “Where have the abducted been sent to?”. You need to select the following pieces of evidence to solve the puzzle.

  • Cross Inside Rectangle
  • Tin Box with Edelweiss
  • Warehouse 12 Happenings

It will solve the puzzle and you will get the “Abductor’s Route” evidence. Once you have done that, you will get to search your archives. To do that, open the case book and press the Space Key to go into the Archives. Now, select the following options to narrow down the next destination.

  • Location > Europe
  • Date of Establishment > 1700s
  • Field of Activity > Medicine

After selecting the correct options, press the F to search and it will give you Switzerland as your next destination and the second chapter of Sherlock Holmes the Awakened will be concluded.
