Fiber is one of the useful resources that is mainly used in crafting furniture items on your outpost. If you want to make your base in your outpost and place a few furniture items for relaxing, then you would want to have fiber in your inventory.

How to Get Fiber in Starfield
Fiber can be obtained by harvesting plants from the planets that are rich with plant life. There are several planets rich with plant life in Starfield that you can visit to harvest fiber. Some of the examples of planets on which you can find Fiber are the following.
- Jemison (Alpha Centauri System)
- Paradiso (Porrima System)
Jemison is one of the first planets that you will get to visit in the early game. To find Fiber on Jemison, you need to go to the Forest area. Open the Spacemap to view the Jemison Planet and move the cursor to find a location that shows a forest. After that, set a landing target in the forest to land. Once you have landed in the forest, look for the following two plants.
- Glossy Stickweed
- Boreas Root
Both of these plants contain Fiber on them which you can harvest by opening your scanner and interacting with them. However, you do have to find the plants to get fiber and it can take some time before you find a decent amount of fiber.

Where to Buy Fiber in Starfield
Alternatively, you can also buy Fiber from various vendors in Starfield. Most of the vendors have Fiber in their stock and one of the earliest vendors from which you can buy Fiber is at Jemison Mercantile shop. Jemison Mercantile is on the New Atlantis location near the spaceport. Make your way to the vendor and interact with it to buy the Fiber for 4 Credits each.
