Starfield: Visit Earth

Starfield offers hundreds of Planets for players to visit and discover various resources that can be used in crafting to make useful items/mods. Apart from getting the resources from different planets, players can discover settlements on various planets that they can infiltrate to get rare loot items from the enemies. Since the game is set in the 24th Century and shows Humans as a Multi-Planet species, players still have the freedom to go to their Home Planet, Earth, and wonder what happened to their Home Planet.

Looking to know how you can visit Earth and find all the possible Landmarks on Earth, then you are at the right place. This guide will assist you in how to travel to Earth and unlock all Landmarks on Earth to visit them in Starfield.

How to Visit Earth in Starfield

To visit the Earth in Starfield, you must first unlock the ability to use Grav Jump. The tutorial for using the Grav Jump will be initiated in one of the early quests of the game and once you have earned the mechanics of how to use the Grav Jump to jump from one Solar System to another, you will be able to get to SOL System in which Earth is located. The steps to land and visit Earth in Starfield are the following.

  • Open the Spacemap from the pause menu (top left in the pause menu).
  • Zoom out of the menu to view the Solar Systems and select the SOL System.
  • Press and Hold the X Button to Set the Course to SOL System.
  • Press and Hold the X Button again to travel to the SOL System.

NOTE: You will get to visit the SOL System in “The Old Neighborhood” main quest early in the game.

  • Once there in the SOL System, open the Spacemap, select Earth, and travel to Earth by holding the X Button.
  • After reaching into the Orbit of Planet Earth, open the Spacemap and Scan Earth by holding the LB Button.
  • The first time that you scan the Earth, most probably it will not show any landmarks. However, you can still choose a landing location on Earth by setting a Landing Target manually by pressing the A Button.
  • After placing a Landing Target press and Hold the X Button to land on the Landing Target.

Once the landing cutscene ends, you will get to exit your ship and explore Earth. Earth is completely a dead planet shown in Starfield as the Atmosphere of Earth has evaporated and there is no living thing on Earth, not even Aliens. You can still find various resources on Earth and one of them is Water which is in frozen form and you can use your Cutter to get it.
