Looter-shooter The First Descendant will update some of its icons and items after accusations of copying concepts of icons and items from other games in the genre.

We took the concerns raised seriously and have decided to make adjustments so that the images that may appear in the game clearly reflect the uniqueness of our game.

A few days ago, Paul Tassi, a Forbes contributor, spent some time comparing icons and items from Destiny 2 and The First Descendant side by side. In some cases, the ‘parallels’ are more apparent, while in others, there is a sense of ‘inspiration’ significant enough to prompt criticism. Other social media users noted similarities in features such as the user interface with similar games in the ‘sci-fi cooperative dynamic looter-shooter’ genre, such as Warframe.
