How to Beat Nicholaus the Fallen Boss

Nicholaus the Fallen is a 37-level boss located in the Forgotten Cemetery in the Farbane Woods region. This boss is an undead enemy so it would be easier if you use the Iron weapons but if you haven’t unlocked the Smithy workstation then you can use the Scythe, axes, or crossbow because these weapons have AoE attacks which will be useful in this fight. For the setup, choose a weapon of your preference but make sure it has an AoE attack as an ability, use the Chaos Valley to deal burn damage to him over time. Also, you need to have a travel ability equipped because you do want to dash away from certain attacks in this fight.

Once you reached the boss’s location, you want to use the AoE ability of your weapon and the Chaos Valley on him because it’ll take down his health a bit. The first attack of the boss will be shooting a single orb which will explode when it hit anything so if you see him shooting an orb onto you, you want to dash in another direction and do an AoE attack again on him. He will summon skeletons as well in this fight in a huge amount but they can get killed after a couple of hits so, you have to take them down as fast as you can. If you want to take them out more quickly then use your weapon with its AoE ability because it’ll cover a large area and they all get damaged. This boss also has a fear attack in which he teleports and spawns near you, there’ll be a red circle on the ground which indicates the spawning location of the boss. When you see the spawn radius near you, dash in the other direction and hit him with the Chaos Valley.

The other attack that he does is he shoots orbs in all directions three times and if you are far from the boss, you’ll be able to dodge it by going through the gaps between the orbs but if you are close to him when he does this attack then you can get hit by the orbs. If you are using a crossbow in this fight then you’ll play mostly from far and be doing damage to the boss by shooting arrows at him along with the Chaos Valley. The Crossbow AoE ability will also take care of the skeletons as well.

These will be all the attacks that he does and this boss is not that hard, you just have to find the timing and hit him with the combo of your melee weapon and if you are using a crossbow then you can keep shooting arrows to damage him. Once you downed him, feed on his blood to get new abilities.

When you extract the V Blood of the boss, you’ll get Pestilence and Ward of the Damned abilities. You’ll also get the recipe for Study.
