DREDGE – How to Sell Fish

Fishing is one of the main activities of the game that players will have to do in order to make money and pay back the loan to the mayor for the new boat. One of the best ways to make money in DREDGE is by selling the caught fish. Selling the fish will earn you money as well as a small percentage of the earned money will be given back to the mayor which will unlock new features of the game.

Selling Fish

Once you have caught enough fish or your Cargo’s inventory is full of fish, then you can go back to the town to sell the caught fish. There are a number of towns that you can find on islands but if you are in a debt on one island then it is better to get out of the debt first before moving on to another island. Make sure to go back to the starting island of the game after catching the fish.

Once you are at the dock, hold the A Button to Dock the Boat and you will get to talk with Mayor again. After talking to him, you will unlock an NPC named “Fishmonger”. Select the Fishmonger and introduce yourself to him. After the conversation, you will be able to sell the Fish in your Cargo to Fishmonger. The Fishmonger will pay more for fresh and rare fish so, if you have caught any rare fish then you should probably sell it.

Another thing is that if you don’t sell your fish sooner, the price of the fish will get lower and if you leave the fish in your cargo for too long, it will Rot and you will not be able to sell it. So, make sure to sell the fish at the end of each day to make good money.
