Starting Mortal Shell 2 puts you in the Harros Shell, which is lost right after completing the tutorial. As Shells determine your class in Mortal Shell 2, finding a Shell is crucial. Luckily, there are two Shells in the early areas that you can grab. Although both Shells are important, Proxima Shell is a better option to have. Not only does this shell allow you to deal lightning damage, but it also mitigates melee and ranged damage. Head to Marrow’s Keep

After the tutorial of the game, keep on progressing until you reach Marrow’s Keep Beacon. It is one of the marked locations on the map, so it is hard to miss; just make sure you pick up the map fragment. After arriving at Marrow’s Keep, keep on heading down the pathway until you reach a room with an elevator in the middle. Take the elevator up to the top of the tower and go down the pathway on the back.

This will take you to a slingshot, which is a way to travel to one of the discovered beacons on the map. Select the “Widow’s Overlook” Beacon to spawn at it.

Find the Proxima Shell in Blackridge Cliffs

After spawning at the Widow’s Overlook, head up the path on the right and continue along until you reach a bridge. There will be some flying enemies, but you can run past them. After crossing the bridge, there will be the Blackridge Cliffs beacon on the left that you can activate. From there, continue ahead on the path and then stick to the left side.

Avoid the enemies and head up the ramp and through the archway to spot a shattered beacon in the middle of the pond. Enter the cave and go down a level to find Proxima Shell lying on a coffin. Interact with the shell and then accept to equip the Proxima Shell. A brief cutscene will play, and after you complete a short sequence, the Proxima will be permanently yours.

Proxima The Broodseeker Shell Abilities

Proxima the Broodseeker is like a Berserker class in Mortal Shell 2, with a lot of durability and lightning attacks. She has more HP and melee/ranged resistance, allowing you to pursue a tank playstyle. Proxima the Broodseeker’s main abilities are as follows.

• Biosampler: Proxima fires a hook from her left arm, pulling enemies or herself into range before striking with a follow-up attack that inflicts Lightning.
• Grafted Armor: Proxima has a base 15% chance to mitigate melee or ranged damage. Mitigated damage is reduced by a base 50% and prevents stagger.
