Nintendo and Niantic, responsible for Pokémon GO, announce a partnership to launch joint titles: Pikmin to star in the first
Good news from Nintendo. The company has reportedly announced a new partnership with Pokémon GO developer Niantic, focusing primarily on Pikmin.
According to what was shared, both companies plan to launch joint mobile titles taking advantage of augmented reality. The first of them will be from Pikmin and will be released later in 2021. For now it is unknown what other games will be, although on the official website the Mii are mentioned in the copyright part.

Augmented reality technology company Niantic, Inc. and Nintendo Co., Ltd. are partnering to jointly develop applications that combine Niantic’s real-world AR technology with beloved Nintendo characters. The first title the two companies are developing together is based on the Pikmin franchise, with play activities designed to e

The app is scheduled to launch globally later in 2021, with Niantic serving as publisher. The title will also be the first game created by Niantic Tokyo Studio, Niantic’s development studio established in April 2018.
