Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon – How to Defeat Prince Lukaon

Prince Lukaon is the major end-boss of the game that players will have to defeat in Chapter 11: The Forbidden Altar. Lukaon is the mystery boy that Cereza is helping out in the journey but he will go rogue and steal elemental abilities from Cheshire. You will have to deal with all of the elemental abilities in the fight and he has two phases in total.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to defeat Prince Lukaon in Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon.

Defeating Prince Lukaon – Phase 1

In the first phase of the fight, you will have to deal with all four types of elemental attacks from Prince Lukaon. Wood, Stone, Water, and Fire. He will start with the Wood Elemental Attacks and it has whole range of attacks that you need to look out for. While in the Wood Form, he will do slashing attack along with swinging attack. When he does swing attack, you don’t want to be near it. You need to be out of the range of the ring highlighted on the floor.

He will come for Cereza so, keep her out of his range and use Cheshire attacks to deal damage to him. When he gets close or get stunned by a combo of Cheshire, use Thorn Bind to bind him and deal more damage to him. If he caught Cereza, he will summon a lot of roots in front of hm. Break the roots with Cheshire and then attack Lukaon to free Cereza. When you have depleted a quarter of his health, he will change to Stone Form.

In stone Form, he has different AOE attacks. You need to be out of the range of the wave on the floor as well as from the stone coming out of the floor. You will have to repeat the process of keeping Cereza away from him and using Cheshire attacks on him to deal damage. Once he is stunned, use Cheshire slashing attacks to deal more damage to him. You will also be able to use Wood Cheshire during this because by defeating his wood form, Cheshire will get Wood Elemental Abilities back so, use them to deal extra damage.

Once you have depleted half of his HP, he will change the arena into the water and will start swimming around and doing slash attacks. Keep Cereza away and use Stone Cheshire to deal damage to him. Use stomping attacks to deal more damage to Lukaon. Hit him with the successful combo to stun him and then use Thorn Bind to deal more damage to him.

He will start moving the water and start dropping the water orbs in the arena. You need to stay on the edge of the arena to dodge this attack. When he finishes the attack, he will get stunned and it will be a great opportunity to unleash Cheshire on him. When you have depleted another quarter of his health, he will change to fire form.

In the fire form, he will get more aggressive with slash attacks and slams so, make sure to keep Cereza away until you stun him with Cheshire Stone or Water Elemental Abilities. He will also shoot fire shots at you so when you see the floor lighting up, move out of the way. He will also fly in the air and charge himself up to blow a small portion of the arena. When that happens, keep Cereza at a safe distance and after the explosion, shoot the water elemental ability on Lukaon to deal damage.

Once you have depleted his HP, a cutscene will start in which he will regain his health and Cheshire will also turn into his true Demon Form.

Defeating Prince Lukaon – Phase 2

The second form is comparatively easier than the 1^st phase because, in the 2^nd phase, you will be able to unleash the true power of Cheshire on Lukaon. You just have to press the R Button repeatedly to hit the powerful physical attack on Lukaon. This attack covers all the angles around Cheshire so, you will always hit Lukaon.

You can also evade attacks from Lukaon by pressing the L Button. He will do teleportation attacks and slashing attacks in this phase. He will take more damage in this phase so, just keep mashing the R Button until you have depleted his HP Completely.

Once you have depleted all of his HP, you will get to press the buttons on the screen to take down Lukaon for good. You will have to press the L and R Buttons repeatedly in a duel scene to defeat Lukaon.
