Farming Simulator 22: Difficulty level, which main options should I choose?
Before starting the game – whether in multiplayer or single player – in Farming Simulator 22, the game will ask you what difficulty level you are interested in. You have exactly three variants to choose from, which are very different from each other.
I am talking about the easy, medium and difficult levels. As the descriptions themselves indicate, in one of them you get money, machines, and farmland right away, in the next you get only a large sum of money for a good start, and in the next – you start the game from scratch. So it’s worth rethinking your decision as you can’t change it in the future.
- The easy level will be great for someone who will be using the series for the first time. There are many improvements here that will make the gameplay much easier. To start with, you get 100,000 euros, a few fields, and a few machines.
- The average level is perfect for people who have played Farming Simulator for a few hours. Each of the scenes has many solutions from the previous parts and adding our guide, gameplay on medium difficulty level seems to be the perfect solution. You get as much as 1.5 million euros to start, but you have to buy the machines and fields yourself.
- The Hard Level is for total hardcore fans who want a challenge. You have to be on the move all the time in order not to become bankrupt – this difficulty level is for the most loyal fans of the series, but those who have never tried this gameplay module in previous Farmings (despite spending a lot of hours in them) can also try their hand. . You only get EUR 500,000 to start.
Remember that the game offers several save slots, so you can try each of them and only after a few hours of fun decide which one will satisfy you the most.
Regardless of what difficulty level you are playing, you can always enter the gameplay menu and change the most important game options. I am talking about:
- Periodic plowing of the soil is required – if you do not do this, the harvest will be lower;
- Fertilizing fields with lime to maintain high yields;
- The appearance of weeds in the field, damaging the crops in some way;
- Destroying plants after driving over them with machines;
- Consumption of fuel and parts in vehicles, which affects their performance;
- Drying out plants, if you don’t harvest them in time;
- Automatic purchase of gasoline or seeds when you run out of them during work in the field;
- The appearance of stones in the field, which interferes with the cultivation;
- Including seasons (in other words: seasonal growth), which affect the demand for various raw materials, and also prevent work in the field with the specified grains/root crops.
Each of the levels of difficulty has the above-mentioned mechanics turned on or off – if you decide on the difficult one, remember that all of the above elements will be turned on by default (not counting a few assists, such as automatic fueling).
