Farming Simulator 22: Flashing Shadows – How to fix?
The following page describes the flickering shadows problem in Farming Simulator 22 : how to turn them off, how cold they flicker, which is the reason for this phenomenon.
The first thing you will notice when you start playing FS22 is the blinking shadows on the ground. This can be very irritating, especially on grass. The reason for this is the movement of the sun across the sky – the higher the speed of the game, the greater the movement of the shadows .
Therefore, part of the solution to the problem is to play in real-time and only speed up the time when you need to move to the next day (or rewind it while sleeping at home – it is allowed at any time during the game).
The second option is to set the shadows of lower quality. They will be less sharp, more blurred, and slightly lighter. Thanks to this, they will be less contrasting and their movement will not be so noticeable. However, they can also be annoying, especially when sitting in the machine.
A critical solution, which will also significantly affect performance, is the ability to completely turn off the shadows of plants: grasses and shrubs (they will still be cast by trees). This option: Foliage shadows can be found in Advanced Graphics Settings.

For additional help, you can consider the terrain modification tool, which can be found in the build menu. Around your farm, you can get rid of the grass and turn it into dirt/asphalt or other texture to minimize the amount of grass that casts the most shimmering shadows.
