To upgrade the maximum Health and Toughness in Hellboy Web of Wyrd, players need to go to the shop located at the Butterfly House. The Butterfly House serves as a hub from where players can utilize their earned currency to buy guns and charms, upgrade maximum health and toughness, and even test out the new guns in the training room. Players need to interact with the machine located in the middle of the shop to open the Upgrades Menu. The upgrades menu offers Total Health, Revive, and Total Toughness each costing a certain number of Shakti Shards.

The maximum health is increased by upgrading the Total Health and the maximum toughness is increased by upgrading the Total Toughness whereas, upgrading the Revive will allow players to revive Hellboy whenever he meets his unfortunate fate during the adventure and continue on the progression without returning to the Butterfly House.

Apart from upgrading the maximum health and toughness, players can also increase the health and toughness temporarily specifically for the stage that they are currently completing. To do so, they have to start and complete a challenge to buy one of three Relics in exchange for Aura.

Upgrading the maximum health and toughness is expensive and costs several Shakti Shards just for one upgrade so, make sure to eliminate every possible enemy in the rooms in the stages to earn maximum Shakti Shards.
