Hi-Fi Rush: Track 3: Trail by (Volcanic) Fire Walkthrough

In this guide, we’ll cover the third stage of the Hi-Fi Rush in which Chai and Peppermint go to the R&D Branch to uncover the AI Development of a program called SPECTRA.

Track 3: Trail by (Volcanic) Fire Walkthrough

Chai and Peppermint will make their way to the lava area of Vandelay Island which is underneath the Island. Go ahead on the path by jumping over the lava and you will reach the first battle area where you will get to defeat a robot named “BES-102”. Defeat the robot enemy along with other drones and enemies and go ahead on the path. Shoot the blue switch by calling Peppermint to go ahead. Hit the generator according to the buttons on the screen to power up the magnets. Use the Magnetic Grab to cross the lava.

Call Peppermint to shoot the blue switch and go ahead. You will find the Overcharge battery which can be used to charge your Reverb Gauge instantly whenever it is used. Go ahead and use Magnetic Grab to cross the area. Use the Zipline to reach the next Battle Area. Defeat the enemies and go ahead on the path. There will be magma balls falling along the path so, you will have to dodge the green areas on the floor to not get hit by the magma. Keep following the path and then use the Zipline to reach the next Battle Area.

A new robot named “SEN-CO” will come which will shield the other enemies. Take it down first and then clear the rest of the enemies. Go ahead on the path and shoot the blue switch by calling Peppermint to reach the next Battle Area. Defeat the enemies and go ahead on the path. Use the Zipline to reach the R&D Department’s main gate. Go through the main gate and you will get to talk to one of the employees in the R&D Department. It will tell you to go up to LAB 44. Go ahead in LAB 44 and you will get to test out the Parry ability of Chai on the drones. Go through the tutorial and then use the Parry attacks on the drone to destroy them.

Go ahead in the LAB and go into the T2 ROOM where you will get to parry the normal enemies and tougher enemies. After that, go ahead in the LAB and go through the opened door and press the button to open the Yellow Vent. Go along the path and you will get to enter the yellow vent on the other side. Press the buttons on the screen to open the Yellow Vent to go inside the LAB. Go to the T3 ROOM where you will get to fight different robot enemies and one of the super tough enemies. You will have to parry against the super-tough enemy to break the stun gauge and defeat it.

After defeating the enemies, go along the opened path and use the Zipline to reach the AI area of the R&D Department. Here, you will get to see Zanzo and he will put some more enemies on you. Defeat the enemies and Zanzo will put out a new robot with Z-Shielding.

Fight it for a bit and a cutscene will start in which Chai will get punched by the robot and sent to a different area where he sees another person. It will conclude this stage and the next stage will continue from the same place.
