Hogwarts Legacy – How to Equip More Spells

Players will get to learn and cast spells right from the beginning of the game and as they progress through the game, they will learn all kinds of spells. However, they will only be able to equip 4 Spells at a time which makes it a bit harder to cast other spells which are out of the Spell Diamond. Well, there is a way to equip more spells and actually, you can equip 16 main spells at a time.

Equipping More Spells

As players progress through the game, they will equip a total of 4 main spells in the Spell Diamond other than the Essential Spells. Essential Spells are separate from the main spells but you will have to learn them as well. They do not take place in the Spell Diamond. There are 8 Essential Spells in the game and 23 main spells in the game that players will get to learn as they complete main quests, side quests, and assignments.

Now, in order to equip more than 4 spells, you will have to make progress in the game to the point where you will unlock the Map Chamber Room in Hogwarts. At this point, you will unlock Talent Points. Talent Points is the main thing from which you will be able to equip more spells. At this point, you will be higher than Level 5 and you will gain a few Talent Points.

Now, what you have to do is go to the Talent Points Tab in the menu and go to the category of “Core”. You will see different kinds of skills and they will be separated into three different levels. Meaning, the skills in that section require the following level. So, in Level 5, you will have to select the Skill named “Spell Knowledge”. The Spell Knowledge has three tiers and in the Level 5 section, you can unlock Spell knowledge I and Spell Knowledge II. By spending your points in both of these, you will unlock 8 more slots in which you can add your Spells from the Spells Menu. Spell Knowledge III is in the Level 16 section so, you must be on level 16 to unlock spell knowledge III. After getting all three tiers of Spell Knowledge, you will have a total of 16 slots of main spells and 8 Essential Spells which makes a total of 21 Spells that you will be able to hold at a time.

Equipping More Spells will make things easier for you because you will not have to open the Spells Menu again and again to cast a specific spell. You can add different spells in all the slots of different spell diamonds and you can use the required spell by changing the spell diamond. You can change the spell diamond by moving the scroll wheel on your mouse and it is super quick to do.
