How to Get the Midna’s Helmet in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Status Effect resistances play a crucial role in combat to defend Link against various elemental damage of the enemies. One of the strongest elemental damages is Gloom which can completely take out Link’s Hearts. Gloom-affected Hearts can be cured by returning to the surface in Day time but some battles can’t be left in between so, in order to block the Gloom effect, players can choose to wear gear pieces that have Gloom Resistance. One of the easiest gear pieces that players can get pretty early in the game that has a Gloom Resistance on it is the Midna’s Helmet.

Midna’s Helmet Location in Tears of the Kingdom

Midna’s Helmet can be obtained from the chest inside the Lone Island Coliseum which is located in the Depths at the (4562, -3620, -0471) coordinates. The Lone Island Coliseum is located directly beneath the Eventide Island which is on the Southeast corner of the Hyrule World. Players can get to this island by using the Paraglider from the Cape Cales area. However, make sure that you have increased your stamina because it takes up to 1 and a half circles of stamina to reach the island.

Upon reaching the island, go to the north side of the island to find the Eventide Island Chasm and make the way towards the south side to get to the Lone Island Coliseum.

How to Get the Midna’s Helmet in Tears of the Kingdom

After jumping down the chasm, head in the south direction to reach the Coliseum. However, you would have to light up the whole way to see clearly in the depths as there is no Lightroot on the way to the Coliseum. So, make sure that you have a number of Blightroom Seeds to light up the path to Coliseum. Upon reaching the Coliseum, go around it to get to its entrance.

The chest will be in the center of the Coliseum infected with Gloom and as you get close to it, you will get to fight a number of Gloom-infected Bokoblins and Lizarfos. After defeating the enemies, the gloom will disappear from the chest and you will be able to open the chest and obtain the Midna’s Helmet.

Midna’s Helmet is a legendary armor gear piece that has a +7 Armor Rating as well as a Gloom Resistance. It only blocks up to a few hearts of Gloom which is pretty useful in the early game.
