Octopath Traveler II

Octopath Traveler II has an in-game currency named “Leaves” which will let you buy new weapons, armor, consumables, and much more. You will be playing the main protagonist named “Castti” of the story and you will have to upgrade her weapons and armor as you progress through the main story of the game because the enemies will also get tougher. In order to do that, you must earn Leaves (money) to get all the equipment for your journey.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to earn money in Octopath Traveler II.

Best Ways to Earn Money in Octopath Traveler II

There are a few ways through which you will be able to earn money throughout your journey. The methods that you need to do are the following.

1.    Defeat Enemies in the Night

As you play through the first chapter of the game, you will get almost all of the basics and tutorials of the game and you will also learn that defeating enemies will earn you Leaves. Now, as you complete the main chapters of the game, you will get to earn a decent amount of Leaves by defeating the enemies but you can increase your earning by defeating enemies in the nighttime.

You can explore the world of Solistia and you can encounter different monsters of different levels. The monsters are more dangerous at night so the reward for defeating them is also higher. You can team up with the other characters that you like and go on a monster hunt to earn yourself a decent amount of Leaves.

2.    Open Chests to Get Worthy Items

There is a lot to explore in the world of Solistia and one of the things that you need to look for are the chests. Chests can be found in different areas and all of the chests will give you a useful item or maybe some Leaves. But the Items that you get from the Chests are worth more because all of the items can be sold to the merchants in the shops.

Completing the main story chapters will also give you useful items so make sure to see the attributes of the item that you get so you can decide whether you want it or not.

3.    Selling Items to Merchants

As told in the previous point, you can sell items that you do not need to the merchants in the shops. However, it is not only the items that you can sell, you can even sell weapons, armor, and consumable items as well. You will get a lot of equipment items as you progress through the game so make sure to see the items that you got and decide whether you want to keep them or not. Just go to the shop and sell them to merchants for Leaves.

4.    Selling Items Crafted with Ochette’s Prepare Talent

You can also use the talents of the Travelers who are your allies to earn Leaves as well. One of your Travelers will have a Prepare Talent which is basically used to convert monsters into items. You can use it on the caught monsters and they will turn into a useful items that can be sold to the merchants in the shops.

You can catch Shaggy Meep and Giant Sheep monsters after the first chapter of the game with Ochette’s Prepare Talent. After that, the talent will convert them into useful items which can be sold to the merchants for 700 Leaves each. The more monsters you convert the more money you will earn just by selling.

These were the few methods that can help you earn enough Leaves (money) to get the equipment that will help you get through all of the monsters.
