Persona 5 Tactica: How to Use Skills

Persona 5 Tactica - Use Skills

Clearing the stages by defeating the enemies can be done via a series of various attacks of party members. Ranged Attacks and Melee Attacks are the common attacks of each party member but each character has unique skills that can be used freely in combat. Skills are useful for various reasons as the perfectly utilized skill of a character can defeat all of the enemies at once.

In this guide, we’ll go over how to use skills in Persona 5 Tactica.

How to Use Skills in Persona 5 Tactica

The skills can be used at any time during combat at a cost of SP. SP can be seen under the HP of every character and every character has a different amount of SP that can be increased by upgrading their skills. To use the skills of any character, follow the following steps.

  • Wait for your turn in the combat.
  • Press the Z/L button to switch between characters to select one by whom you want to use the skills.
  • Press the X Button to open the skills menu.
  • Press the A Button to select the skill you want to use.
  • Select the enemy on whom you want to use the skill by pressing the A button.

A skill animation will play out dealing a high amount of damage and inflicting a certain status effect to the enemies. Some of the skills deal AOE damage as well and if you use those skills on a centered enemy surrounded by other enemies, you will be able to deal high damage to multiple enemies at once.

Usually, every character will be able to use skills a couple of times before their SP runs out but they will have to complete the current chapter and reach the hideout to replenish their SP. That is why players must use skills only in difficult fights to have a higher chance of clearing the stage.
