Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How to Climb

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is an open-world game and players do get to explore the vast world map of Paldea. As there are different regions on the map and players need to go to several places to complete the path objectives. As players explore around the world, they will run into some high grounds that they cannot reach with their mount and in order to get up on the higher grounds, players must obtain the Climbing Ability.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to Climb in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Climbing

As players start the game, they’ll have a Koraidon if they are playing the Scarlet Version of the game or they will have Miraidon if they are playing the Violet Version of the game. These are the mounts that players will use to travel in Paldea. At the start, they can only ride it and go to the places that require their attention but as they progress through the game, they will see high mountains, walls, and rocks that cannot be crossed until they climb them. So, in order to climb the high obstacles while exploring your journey, you’ll need to get the Climbing Ability. Players will be able to use their mount to climb to any high rock or mountain in Paldea and cross them easily to get to new cities and towns.

The Climbing ability is only available if the players defeated the specific Titan in the game. The Titan that they need to defeat in the game to get the Climbing ability is the False Dragon Titan who is the last and fifth Titan in the Path of Legends story. Players can find this Titan on the Northeast side of Paldea. Players can play through any order but if the players are playing from the lowest level to the highest, then it would be the last Titan they faced.

The False Dragon Titan can be found on the Island so before you get to defeat him, make sure to get the Swimming ability so you can swim in the water to get on the Island.

Players will fight Dondozo at first and after defeating Dondozo, they will have to search for the Titan on the island ahead, and then they will encounter Tatsugiri. Players will have to defeat both of the Pokemon to defeat the Titan and get the Climbing Ability. Once you have the Climbing ability, you can climb on higher grounds by pressing the B button when you get close to a wall or surface. Your mount will cling to the wall and you just need to operate him with the movement buttons and you’ll get to the higher places.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
