Pokémon Snap for N64 (HAL Laboratory) had 63 first-generation Pokémon. How many appear in the New Pokémon Snap trailer for Nintendo Switch?
New Pokémon Snap for Switch has just been presented, a development by Bandai-Namco in collaboration with Nintendo and Game Freak, in which our job is to tour different islands (with their corresponding ecosystems) and photograph the Pokémon in their natural habitat. Without a doubt, this new Pokémon Snap, which recovers a development from Hal Laboratory for N64 (released in 2000) was the star of yesterday’s Pokémon Presents, which also announced the “free to play” Pokémon Café Mix and Pokémon Smile.
In the original game, 63 first-generation Pokémon appeared (a selection of the best known among the 151 that appeared in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow). But which Pokemon will appear in the new installment? At the moment in the trailer that has been shown, we can see the following:
If you are familiar with these creatures, surely you have recognized in the list of the Pokémon that appear in the trailer creatures of different generations (from the initial pokémon of the first game, like Squirtle -or Pikachu in the yellow edition- Scornbunny and Grookey of the eighth generation ).
With the 8 generations of Pokémon included in New Pokémon Snap, the possibilities of this “photographic safari” are multiplied. And also the gameplay options; In addition to launching baits for the Pokémon to pose while we travel preset itineraries on different islands.
In a moment of the trailer, the presence of hidden Pokémon is also hinted, which we will have to discover with new photographic tricks. In the 10 seconds, approximately, we can see Pikachu on a beach, but if you look, on the left side of the image a red shovel appears … like the one with the Pokémon Sandygast on top. Those who hold the shovel submit to the will of the creature.
The number of islands we can visit has not been confirmed yet, nor how many Pokémon will appear in the final game, as well as the options to expose and share our photos.
The game will allow us to see behaviors never seen before by pokémon. We have seen how a Pidgeot flew a Magikarp, how a Blastoise ate peacefully on the shore of the beach, and much more. The photographs we take will go to complete our Photodex.
