Here’s everything you need to know on how to hack locked electronics in Thief Simulator 2.
How to Hack Locked Electronics in Thief Simulator 2
The locked electronics don’t have any value and will not show in the Sell Menu even if you keep them in your inventory. It is because you can only sell them once they are unlocked. To do so, you need to hack the locked devices using the laptop in your Hideout. The laptop is located in the hallway of your house in front of the bathroom.
However, you cannot interact with the laptop until you have acquired the Electronics (Level 1) skill. You need to be at Level 12 and need 1 skill point to learn the Electronics (Level 1) skill from the skill tree. After getting the Electronics (Level 1) skill, you will be able to interact with the laptop and it will show you the hackable devices currently in your inventory.
To hack the locked devices, select the locked device from the inventory and select the ‘Hack’ option. It will open a hacking protocol in which you have to streamline a path from one end of the screen to the other. It is like finding a path in the maze but you have to make the path yourself. Hover over the small portions of the path, press the LMB to change the course of the path, and set them accordingly until a streamlined path is formed.
Making the perfect path will mark the path as green and the locked device will unlock allowing you to sell it for its full price.
