Thief Simulator 2: How to Unlock the Electric Lock

Madison St. area has all kinds of residents, from needy to wealthy residents to whom you can break in to steal valuable items to make money. Poor residents are easier to steal from as their houses don’t have higher security protocols but the rich residents are the ones who can make your fortune. However, their houses have advanced security protocols, and getting inside their houses is a task in itself. Many rich houses have an Electric Lock on the main gate instead of a normal key lock and you must learn the process of unlocking the Electric Lock so you can steal from the rich.

In this guide, we’ll go over how to unlock the Electronic Lock in Thief Simulator 2.

How to Unlock the Electric Lock in Thief Simulator 2

As you progress in the main story, you will unlock more wealthy houses in Madison St. which normally have an Electric Lock on the main gate. The early houses can be accessed with an alternate route but the more advanced houses have only 1 way in and that is through the main gate. To unlock the Electric Lock, you need to have the following requirements.

• Electronics (Level 1) Skill
• Hacking PDA

You need to be at Level 12 and need 1 skill point to learn the Electronics (Level 1) skill from the skill tree. After getting the Electronics (Level 1) skill, you need to buy the Hacking PDA tool from the Stealgear app on the computer at the Hideout. The Hacking PDA costs $5,000 which is a hefty price so, you must earn money before buying it.

Once you have fulfilled both of the requirements, you will be able to unlock the Electric Lock. Go to the Electric Lock console and interact with it by pressing the E button. It will open a hacking protocol in which you have to streamline a path from one end of the screen to the other. It is like finding a path in the maze but you have to make the path yourself. Hover over the small portions of the path, press the LMB to change the course of the path, and set them accordingly until a streamlined path is formed.

Unlocking the Electric Lock will unlock the main gate as well and you can get inside the residence by simply opening the gate.
