Yule Festival in Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Missions, rewards and how to get Yule tokens

In December and January, the whole world celebrates with drinks, delicious meals, and gatherings with one of the most important festivities of the year. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is not far behind and extrapolates the celebration with the famous “ Yule Festival ” to the settlement of Eivor and its Viking clan: in this guide, we will tell you what it is about, what its missions are, and what rewards you can get.

The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Christmas event

The Yule festival is a limited-time event that takes place in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, usually between mid-December and January (in 2020 it lasted three weeks, but in 2021 it was extended to almost two months). As the event unfolds, you’ll find the settlement of Eivor with heavy snowfall and festive Christmas-style decorations, plus a handful of quests that, upon completion, award tokens that can be exchanged for exciting exclusive rewards.

In the event that the Yule Festival Quests do not appear, make sure you have completed at least one of the Alliance Quests in the England region.

How to get Yule Tokens in AC Valhalla

As we just mentioned, when the Yule festival starts in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you will find new missions spread out in one area of the settlement: you will see a crowd dancing, drinking beer, eating until they break their belts and chatting. You can also meet people who will offer you specific challenges and activities, which you can accept and complete throughout the duration of the event to get Yule tokens. The available missions are:

  • Rotating targets (40 tokens)
  • Braun’s Madness (10 tokens per game)
  • Yule Combat (70 Tokens)
  • The Beer Case… (70 tokens) – The Brewery needs to be unlocked
  • Cow Catcher (70 Tokens) – Livestock Unlock Required

What are the Yule chips for? Basically, every time you complete a settlement mission (especially those that are linked to the Yule festival) you will receive a certain amount of ” Yule tokens “, which function as a new currency to exchange for exclusive items of the event: armor, weapons, ornaments for the settlement and tattoos. All these rewards are exclusive to the festival, so if you did not get any of them at the time, you will have to wait until next year to get a second chance: don’t worry, the Yule Festival will repeat its missions and rewards every December.
