There are a lot of different resources in Hogwarts Legacy that players will find. Some of them can be found in the wild by exploring while other resources are gathered by a specific method. All the resources are used for something and the most useful resources are the ones that can be used in upgrading the Gear Items you wear. These are the resources that can only be obtained by Magical Beasts in the Magical World.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to Get Mooncalf Fur in Hogwarts Legacy.
Getting Mooncalf Fur
Mooncalf Fur is one of the resources that is used to upgrade the Gear Item. Players can only get the Mooncalf Fur from Mooncalf itself. Mooncalf is one of the Magical Beasts which can be found in different areas of Highlands. Mooncalf lives in its Den and their Den can be seen on the World Map. One of their Nests is on the west side of Hogwarts near Quidditch Pitch. You will also get to this Den in one of the main quests named “The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom”.

You can go to any Mooncalf’s Den to find one and in order to get the Mooncalf, you will have to tame it. You will have to catch Mooncalf with your Nab-Sack and then take it to the Room of Requirement and release it in a Vivarium. After that, you need to brush the Mooncalf and feed it with Beast Feed. Once you have done that, you will get the option to interact with it to get Mooncalf Fur.

By interacting with the Mooncalf, you will get 5x Mooncalf Fur which will might be enough for a couple of upgrades. After collecting Mooncalf Fur, you will have to wait for 25 minutes before you can collect more Mooncalf Fur from Mooncalf.
