Final Fantasy XVI – How to Equip & Change Gear Items and Timely Accessories

Final Fantasy XVI is an Action RPG with a new combat system that includes a number of new things. In order to overcome the challenges during combat, players must equip the Gear Items that enhance the attributes of Clive or equip the Accessories that will help out Clive during the combat. There are a number of Gear Items and Accessories that players will get as they progress through the game so, it is important to know how to equip and change them throughout the game to gain an advantage in difficult fights.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to equip & change gear items and timely accessories in Final Fantasy XVI.

How to Equip & Change Gear Items

The Gear Items consist of three things in Final Fantasy XVI.

1. Weapon
2. Belt
3. Vambraces

All three of these gear items affect the attributes of Clive. If players are equipping a weapon with high damage, it will increase the Attack attribute whereas Belt and Vambraces can increase the Defense attribute along with other ones. In order to equip & change the gear items, follow the following steps.

• Press the Options Button to go into the Menu.
• Press the R2 Button to switch tabs until Gear & Eikons Tab.
• The Gear will be shown on the right side and Eikons will be shown on the left side. Move the cursor to the right side and the first row of slots include the Gear Items.
• Select the first slot to equip or change the weapon of Clive. Select the second slot to equip or change the Belt of Clive. Select the third slot to equip or change Vambraces of Clive.
• After equipping or changing the gear items, simply back out of the main menu by pressing Circle Button to save the changes.

How to Equip & Change Timely Accessories

Timely Accessories are the Rings that contain various powers that will help Clive in combat to make unstoppable moves, both offensive and defensive. There are a total of five Timely Ring Accessories that players will get in Final Fantasy XVI and players can choose to assign any three of them to Accessory Slots. All the Timely Ring Accessories in Final Fantasy XVI are the following.

1. Ring of Timely Strikes
2. Ring of Timely Evasion
3. Ring of Timely Focus
4. Ring of Timely Healing
5. Ring of Timely Assistance

There are other rings as well that players will get as they progress through the main story but the most useful rings are the Timely ones because they can make a huge difference in combat for the players who want to enjoy the story more than combat. In order to equip & change Timely Accessories, follow the following steps.

• Press the Options Button to go into the Menu.
• Press the R2 Button to switch tabs until Gear & Eikons Tab.
• The Gear will be shown on the right side and Eikons will be shown on the left side. Move the cursor to the right side and the second row of slots include the Accessories.
• Select the first slot of the second row to equip or change the first Timely Accessory of Clive. Select the second slot of the second row to equip or change the second Timely Accessory of Clive. Select the third slot of the second row to equip or change the third Timely Accessory of Clive.
• After equipping or changing the Accessories, simply back out of the menu by pressing the Circle Button to save the changes.

Players can choose to equip or change the Gear Items and Accessories at any time they want in the game.
