God of War Ragnarok: How to Defeat Dreki – (Boss Fight)
Kratos and Atreus will start their journey in Aurvangar Wetlands area and then start looking for Tyr who is hiding in Nidavellir Village. They’ll get to face many enemies and solve many puzzles but the first boss that they will encounter in Aurvangar Wetlands is Dreki who is like an angry dragon with electric powers.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to defeat Dreki in God of War Ragnarok.
Defeating Dreki
Kratos and Atreus will find out that Tyr is hiding in the cave and as they are making their way to the cave, they’ll be encountered by a dragon named Dreki. Dreki has different attacks and it’ll attack you at the start with its claws, teeth, and tail but as you continue to fight it, it’ll begin to pulse out an electric current that can stun Kratos which will leave him vulnerable to damage.
This boss is not that hard to defeat as you can parry almost all of his attacks except the Red Ring Attack which is the electric current pulse. Now, in the beginning, it will attack you with its claws and teeth but you can time it and press the guard button to counter the attack to aggress on it and deal damage to it. Use the Runic Attacks of Leviathan Axe to deal extra damage to it. Don’t try to go behind Dreki as it’ll attack you with its tail. So, try to stay in front of him, and when you lower his HP to half, it’ll start producing the electric current pulses around it which can stun Kratos.

Now, electric current attacks are its Red Ring Attacks whenever you are aggressing on it, make sure to back off when you see the Red Ring on its head because it means, it is about to produce the Electric Current. If you keep enough distance, you’ll not get electrocuted and start hitting it again. But if you haven’t kept enough distance, you’ll get stunned and Dreki will shoot a follow-up, Electric Current, under your position that will deal more damage. Keep in mind that electric current attacks deal a lot of damage and will take almost two-thirds of your health so dodge them at all costs.
The easiest way to defeat Dreki is to build up the stun meter by parrying and countering its attacks to get free damage on it. Keep pressing the Arrows button to order Atreus to shoot Arrows on it to deal more damage. Hit it after every counter, use the Runic Attacks, and you’ll defeat it in no time.
After defeating Dreki, you’ll get Chaos Flames to upgrade your Blades of Chaos and you’ll also get your first Runic Attack of Blades of Chaos. You can then upgrade the Blades of Chaos and equip the Runic attack on it at Brok’s shop.
