Gaining several attributes as a bonus on your characters can help you greatly in Granblue Fantasy: Relink which is done by equipping the Sigils. Sigils are accessory items that hold various traits depending on the Sigil and their passive trait ability can vary on their tier level. Despite the Tier Level, some Sigils can also be upgraded to increase their passive trait.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to upgrade Sigils in Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
How to Upgrade Sigils in Granblue Fantasy: Relink
Upgrading the Sigils of the characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink will require you to talk to a Blacksmith and provide him with the required materials. You can find a blacksmith named Gruff in the Floca, Frontier Town.
However, before players get to upgrade Sigils, they will first have to at least progress to Chapter 2: Tempest on the Horizon where they will find a Hallowed Ground. Hallowed Ground is a large green crystal that saves the game and heals all the allies. Furthermore, it allows players to trade with Siero as well as use the services of Blacksmith without traveling back to Floca.
Additionally, if players want to go back to Floca to upgrade the Sigils personally from Blacksmith, they will have to at least progress to Chapter 6 where they will unlock the fast travel ability.
Unlike upgrading the Weapons, upgrading Sigils will require various Weapon Materials instead of just a shard. The main Weapon Materials for upgrading a Common Tier (I) – Rare Tier (III) are the following.
- Prism Chip
- Griffin Feather
- Landbeast Claw
- Fire Shard
- Purgatory Bone
All of these Weapon Materials are gained by defeating the bosses and the best way to acclaim these materials is to undertake Boss quests from the Quest Counter.
Upon having the required Weapon Materials, you can go and talk to the Blacksmith or interact with the Hallowed Ground to get the option to upgrade Sigils. Select the Sigil that you wish to upgrade and then set the level to which you want to enhance it using the materials. Each level will consume a certain number of materials but the required number of materials will gradually increase for higher-level Sigils.
Alongside the increment in required materials, the upgrade cost for Sigils will also increase requiring more Rupies per upgrade. Make sure to upgrade the sigils that are essential for your team composition so avoid upgrading any sigil that you don’t wish to use.
