How to Defeat the Battle Talus in Tears of the Kingdom

There are a number of enemy types in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and some of them are new enemy types that have been introduced in Tears of the Kingdom. One of the new enemy types that players will get to engage in is a Battle Talus. Battle Talus is a big Stone Creature that players can engage pretty early in the game. These enemies will not go down easily if you are using the normal combat strategy. However, there is a quick way to defeat them and they can give you a number of useful resources as well.

How to Defeat the Battle Talus in Tears of the Kingdom

Battle Talus enemies can easily be found around the Central Hyrule area of the map. It is actually the starting area of the map when you get down from Sky Island at the start of the game. Once you have completed the starting objectives of the game, you will be free to explore the world around you. If you go to the east side, you will see a number of Bokobilns on the platforms but as you go near them, the platforms will lift up and a Stone Creature will stand up beneath the platforms. This Stone Creature is called a Battle Talus and it has a high HP.

In order to defeat the Battle Talus, you can approach him in two ways. You can either get to a high ground or a safe distance and use your Bow with Fire Fruit and Bomb Flower or you need to get on top of the platform and strike with your heaviest weapon. Now, if you hit directly to the Talus, it will not deal any damage. However, if you shoot an arrow or strike your weapon on the Shining Ore Deposit on top of the platforms, it will deal massive damage to Battle Talus.

The easiest way to do this is to equip your bow and shoot it at the Ore Deposit to defeat the Battle Talus from a distance. You will not be taking any damage other than the Bokoblin who has a bow as well. So, just take him out first, and then you’re good to go. But if you want to use your Melee Weapon then you need to get close to the Battle Talus and get beneath it. Use the Ascend Ability to go up on the platform and equip your Melee Weapon to strike it on the Ore Deposit.

Every strike will deal significant damage to Battle Talus and once you have depleted all of his HP, it will drop a number of stones and a Battle Talus Heart that has a 13 Fuse Power. You can fuse it with your weapon to increase its Attack Power.
