How to Get Diamond in Tears of the Kingdom

There are a number of minerals and stones in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that players will find as they explore the Hyrule World. The minerals and stones are precious in the world of Zelda and they do hold fuse power in them that can increase the Attack Power of your weapons. However, these precious stones also have a high selling price so, you can choose to either fuse them with your weapon to get more damage or you can choose to sell them to make more money. The most precious stone in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the Diamond and it also has the highest selling price of all of the other stones.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get Diamond in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to Get Diamond in Tears of the Kingdom

There are a number of ways from where you can get Diamonds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

  • Break Ore Deposits
  • Defeat Stone Talus
  • Loot Chests
  • Complete Shrines
  • Buy Diamonds

Break Ore Deposits

The first and original method of getting diamonds is by breaking the shiny ore deposits spread across the Hyrule World. You need to find and break the Ores that have a Yellow and White shining to them. Breaking these ores will have a significantly higher chance of dropping Diamonds than the regular Blue Shining Ore Deposits. You can find a number of Ore Deposits on Death Mountain and the cavern areas on both Surface and Sky Islands.

Defeat Stone Talus and Loot Chests

While going through the areas, you can also search for the chests. Loot any chest that you see in the hidden area or in your way. There might be a possibility that you will get a Diamond from it. Another way to get Diamond is by defeating the Stone Talus enemies. These are big Stone Creatures that can be found both on Surface Map as well as in Depths. Fight and defeat the Stone Talus enemies to get yourself some Diamonds (If Lucky).

Complete Shrines

One of the early ways to get Guaranteed Diamonds is by completing the Shrines that give Rauru’s Blessing. Raruru’s Blessing will give you a number of useful items to you and most of them also give you diamonds. You will get a Guaranteed Diamond by completing the following Shrines.

  • Sihajog Shrine in Lanayru Great Spring Sky.
  • Maoikes Shrine in Lanayru Wetlands.
  • Yomizuk Shrine in Lanayru Great Spring.
  • Ganos Shrine in Tabantha Sky Archipelago.
  • Jochi-ihiga Shrine in Akkala Highlands.
  • Mayaotaki Shrine in Hebra Mountains.
  • Momosik Shrine in Eldin Canyon.

Buy Diamonds

All of the methods can help you get Diamonds in your deposit, however, the rate of dropping diamonds from the first three methods is considerably very low than buying them. There is specifically a Vendor that only sells Diamonds and you can buy a number of diamonds from him. This vendor can only be found in Goron City and he will sell you each diamond for 1,000 Rupees which is double the selling price of Diamond.

A diamond is sold for 500 Rupees to any Vendor in Tears of the Kingdom but if you sell 10 Diamonds to Ramella who also happens to be found in Goron City, she will give you an extra 500 Rupees. So, for 10 Diamonds, she will give you 5,500 Rupees while the others only give 5,000 Rupees. It is why if you are willing to sell any precious stone, come to Ramella to get more money in exchange of your goods.
