How to Use the Wing Glider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

There are a number of transportation items that you will get to use to traverse greater distances in the world of Hyrule. One of the early transportation items that you will get to use in the game is the Wing Glider. It is a Stone-Made Glider in a shape of a Bird that can take you pretty far by flying through the air. As there is no steering on the Glider, you will not be able to control it like you control the other transportation. However, there is a technique to use it efficiently that will let you traverse greater distances without any problems or falling down.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to use the Wing Glider in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Use the Wing Glider in Tears of the Kingdom
You can find the Wing Glider on the Sky Islands of the Hyrule World. There are a number of Sky Islands in Hyrule World and one of the Sky Islands that you will start the game on is “Great Sky Island”. You can find a couple of Wing Gliders on the Great Sky Island while solving the Shrine Puzzles. The very first Wing Glider that you will find is after solving the Gutanbac Shrine Puzzle on the Snow Mountain.
In order to fly on the Wing Glider, you will have to use the Ultrahand Ability and place the Glider on the Rails. Before you let go of the Glider make sure to get close to it and jump on the Glider so it does not lift off without you. Once you are on the Wing Glider, you can use the following steps to control the Wing Glider.
- If you Stand in the Middle of the Glider, it will traverse at its original speed and in a straight direction.
- If you Stand at the back of the Glider, it will slow down and start going down gradually.
- If you Stand on the Right Side of the Glider, it will turn to the right side at the normal speed.
- If you Stand on the Left Side of the Glider, it will turn to the left side at the normal speed.
Those are all the main instructions that you can use to steer and control your Wing Glider. Make sure that you don’t go to the very edge of the Glider as it will make you fall. One more thing that you need to keep in mind is that Wing Gliders are not forever, they will eventually disappear after showing the Green Blinking on it. So, keep an eye out for the Green Blinking to ready yourself for the fall.

Add Zonai Devices on Wing Glider in Tears of the Kingdom
You will also find the Wing Glider at various points of the game. Whenever you get to visit the Sky Islands, you will get to use the Wing Glider to get down to the surface. You can add different Zonai Devices on Wing Glider as well. You can use Fans to make it go faster or add a Fire Emitter on it to breathe fire while flying.
The choices are yours to make how you want to fly the Wing Glider but make sure that you open your Paraglider when the Wing Glider disappears to safely land on the surface.
