Death is almost inevitable in New World; you’ll eventually find yourself in situations where you just can’t get out of a bad fight and eventually die. Although the aftermath of death is not that serious, it can be painful, but the good news is that you can revive if someone else is around.

After being down by an enemy or another player, a counter will appear at the top of the screen. If it runs out, you will have to respawn in a nearby colony or your last camp.
