Palia: How to Get Seed Collector
Gardening plays a pivotal role in Palia, serving not only the purpose of early-game quests but also as a means to acquire ingredients for cooking and earn currency. By cultivating crops, you can either sell them to Zeki at the general store or place them in the Shipping Bin to generate a substantial income. However, delving into gardening can be financially demanding, considering the need for diverse seeds to foster crops. These seeds are exclusively available for purchase at the General Store. Alternatively, you can acquire seeds for free by utilizing the Seed Collector Crafter to transform your crops into seeds. If you’re seeking guidance on how to obtain the Seed Collector, you’ve come to the right place. This guide will provide you with the necessary steps to procure the Seed Collector within Palia.
How to get Seed Collector in Palia
To get the Seed Collector, you must first unlock its recipe by attaining Level 2 in the Gardening Activity. Progress through this level by sowing seeds and harvesting crops. Once you have reached Level 2 in Gardening, visit Badruu and engage in conversation. Badruu, situated at the Gardening Guild Store, will unveil new recipes available for purchase. Access his store by pressing the ‘G’ button, where you’ll find the Seed Collector Recipe priced at 100 Gold. After obtaining the recipe, proceed to craft the Seed Collector at the Worktable.
Crafting the Seed Collector
Crafting the Seed Collector necessitates the following materials:
- 16x Sapwood Plank
- 2x Copper Bar
- 6x Ceramic
- 10x Plant Fiber
The majority of the materials required for the Seed Collector are refined components, each crafted in their respective crafting stations. Sapwood Plank is produced at the Sawmill, while Copper Bar and Ceramic are forged at the Smelter. To access the Basic versions of these crafting stations early in the game, advance through the Foraging and Mining Guilds. Plant Fiber, an essential natural resource, can be effortlessly obtained by trimming the bushes within your plot area or other regions of the world map.

Once you’ve gathered all the essential materials, navigate to the Worktable and select the Crafters tab to locate the Seed Collector recipe. Upon selecting the recipe, opt for the Make option to initiate the crafting process for the Seed Collector. After successfully crafting the Seed Collector, place it within your plot area to utilize it and obtain seeds without any cost.
How to use the Seed Collector in Palia
The Seed Collector serves the purpose of extracting seeds from the crops deposited within its Hopper. It converts crops into seeds, with a considerable amount of time required for each crop processed. The significance of the Seed Collector lies in its ability to yield more seeds than the crops themselves. For example, introducing a Carrot into the Seed Maker will yield 4 Carrot Seeds. The following is a list of seeds it can produce, along with their respective crafting times and outputs:
- Carrot: Crafting Time: 18 Minutes – Output: 4 Carrot Seeds
- Onion: Crafting Time: 24 Minutes – Output: 4 Onion Seeds
- Potato: Crafting Time: 84 Minutes – Output: 4 Potato Seeds
- Tomatoes (2x): Crafting Time: 42 Minutes – Output: 2 Tomato Plant Seeds
- Wheat: Crafting Time: 42 Minutes – Output: 4 Wheat Seeds
- Rice: Crafting Time: 42 Minutes – Output: 4 Rice Seeds
- Blueberries (4x): Crafting Time: 81 Minutes – Output: 2 Blueberry Bush Seeds
