Pikmin 4 – How to Fix S.S. Shepherd

Fixing and Restarting S.S. Shepherd is one of the main missions at the start of Pikmin 4. Players will have to locate and reach the S.S. Shepherd and then find a way to restart it to catch the signals from other missing officers on the Planet.

How to Fix S.S. Shepherd in Pikmin 4

To fix Shepherd in Pikmin 4, players will require 300 Sparklium which is Energy for S.S. Shepherd. Sparklium can only be obtained from various Treasures that can be found on the planet and then transfer to S.S. Beagle to extract Sparklium from the Treasures. Players will have to find Sparkly items in the near area of S.S. Shepherd to get the Treasures. However, in order to drag the found treasures to S.S. Beagle, players will require assistance.

Before locating the treasures, players need to find and unlock the Red Pikmin. Players need to find the Giant Red Flower and order Pup to drag it by pressing the A Button. The Red Flower will activate and put out the Red Pikmin from it. After that, players need to find the Red Circles on the flowers to get more Red Pikmins who will help drag the treasures.

The first treasure that players can find is a fork named “Noble Bident” in the game. It will require 3 Red Pikmins in total to drag it to S.S. Beagle and it will give 50 Sparklium. The second treasure that players can find is a Ring Bell named “Path Creator” in the game. It is located beside the S.S. Shepherd and it will require 5 Red Pikmins to drag it to S.S. Beagle. Path Creator will give 100 Sparklium after extraction.

The third treasure that players can find is a Game Boy named “Stone of Advancement” in the game. It is placed on a Blue Basket in the Northeast direction from S.S. Shepherd. Players will have to order Pup to Rush into the Basket to drop down the Game Boy. Hold down the X Button to order Pup to rush against the Basket and after that, players need to order 10 Red Pikmins to carry the Game Boy to S.S. Beagle. The Stone of Advancement treasure will give 150 Sparklium after extraction.

It will make a total of 300 Sparklium and a brief cutscene will start in which the S.S. Shepherd will restart.
