Players can use them to get around the obstacles more easily.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to unlock Ice Pikmin in Pikmin 4.

How to Unlock Ice Pikmin in Pikmin 4

To unlock Ice Pikmin, players will have to go down a hole named “Last-Frost Cavern Sub Level 1”. This sub-level can only be found in the Sun-Speckled Terrace area which players will get to discover on the 2nd day of exploration. During the 1st day, players will get to find Captain Shepherd and fix the S.S. Shepherd and after that, players will get the task to find the remaining missing officers. To get to the Sub-level, players need to go in the northeast direction from the landing point and they will reach a wall.

Players need to order the Red Pikmins to demolish the wall. Once the wall has been demolished, go past the wall to reach the hole. Enter the hole with Pup and Pikmins. The hole has a number of creatures in it including the ice element creatures. Players will have to defeat the creatures and as they go ahead by destroying the pots, they will see an ice element creature fighting against the Ice Pikmin.

Players need to defeat the ice element creature by sending the Red Pikmins on it. As the ice creature drops, players will unlock the Ice Pikmin. There would be a low number of Ice Pikmins at the start but as players progress ahead by exploring the area, they will get more of them. Ice Pikmins also play an important role in the Last-Frost Cavern area because it is where players will be able to find Russ.

Go through the area to find resources and treasures along with finding the missing officer named Russ with the help of Ice Pikmin.
