Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How to Defeat Artazon Gym Leader (Brassius)

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have different paths that players have to complete to progress through the story and complete the game. One of the main paths is Victory Road which contains different Gyms and players have to defeat the Gym Leaders to complete the path. One of the Gym Leaders that players have to battle is Brassius who is a specialist in Grass-Type.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to Defeat Artazon Gym Leader named Brassius in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Defeating Brassius

After passing the Artazon Gym Test, you need to report back to the Gym. Go back to the Artazon Gym Building and interact with the Receptionist to challenge the Gym Leader. Now, you’ll be taken to the battle area where you’ll fight the Gym Leader Brassius, the Verdant Virtuoso. Brassius has three Pokemons that he’ll use in the fight and all of them are given down below.

• Petlil – Level 16
• Smoliv – Level 16
• Sudowoodo – Level 17

All of these Pokemons are the Grass-Type and Sudowoodo who is the main Pokemon of Brassius is Rock-Type but its Tera Type is Grass-Type. In order to defeat all of them, you can use the Fire-Type, Bug-Type, Fighting-Type, Flying-Type, Ice-Type, and Poison-Type Pokemons. All of these types of Pokemons will deal a decent amount of damage to Grass-Type Pokemons. You can use Fuecoco, Growlithe, and Paldean Wooper as your Pokemons in this battle to easily defeat the Gym Leader.

Fuecoco will be able to take down Petlil easily and then you can replace the Fuecoco with Growlithe who is also a Fire-Type Pokemon and can easily faint the next two Pokemons. If Growlithe gets low on HP then you can call out Paldean Wooper who is a Poison-Type Pokemon that can deal even more damage to Sudowoodo because Sudowoodo cannot counter the Posion attacks. Wooper will be your last option but with Fuecoco and Growlithe, you might be able to defeat Brassius with ease.

After defeating Brassius, the Verdant Virtuoso, you’ll be rewarded with Grass Badge and TM 020 Trailblaze.
