Resident Evil 4 Remake – How to Solve Crimson Lantern Puzzle

The Crimson Lantern Puzzle is one of the main puzzles that players will have to solve in Chapter 8 of the game. After the Water Hall Puzzle, Ashley and Leon will be separated and Leon has to find a way to get to Ashley and in order to do that, players will have to solve the Crimson Lantern Puzzle.

Solving Crimson Lantern Puzzle

The Crimson Lantern holds the Crimson Flame which is essential for unlocking the locked gate that players will have to open. The Crimson Lantern is only held by the enemies in a Red Hood which are capable of turning the normal enemies into more mutant forms.

Once you have reached the locked door area, you need to go to the left side to see the Red Hood enemy holding the Crimson lantern. You need to clear all of the enemies in a loud bang style or you can simply go from the right side to go up the ladder and quietly take out the enemies with Bolt Thrower and kill the Red Hood enemy to obtain the Crimson Lantern.

However, you will still have to take out the mutant forms enemy after obtaining the Crimson Lantern so, you can take any approach you like. Once you have cleared the area from the enemies, return back to the locked gate and place the Crimson Lantern on the left statue to open the door.
