Super Mario Bros. Wonder: All Playable Characters & Their Differences

Super Mario Bros. Wonder contains all classic characters from previous titles, as well as some additional characters that players may be excited to play. Players have the freedom to change characters before starting a course in any world to enhance their experience. Although the characters don’t have any significant changes in their abilities, Yoshis and Nabbit characters have unique characteristics that make them more viable options for younger audiences of the game.

Here’s everything you need to know about all playable characters and their differences in Super Mario Bros. Wonder:

All Playable Characters & Their Differences in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

All 12 playable characters in Super Mario Bros. Wonder are:

  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Peach
  • Daisy
  • Yellow Toad
  • Blue Toad
  • Toadette
  • Yoshi
  • Red Yoshi
  • Yellow Yoshi
  • Light-Blue Yoshi
  • Nabbit

There aren’t any specific abilities for the characters, as most of them use Power-Ups to perform their respective abilities. However, Yoshis and Nabbit have different characteristics from the rest of the characters. Yoshis and Nabbit are considered the Easy Mode of Super Mario Bros. Wonder because they don’t take any damage, which is perfect for little kids to get the experience of Mario without losing anything. However, there is a trade-off for these characters: they are unable to transform with Power-Ups.

With all the Power-Ups that players pick up using either Yoshis characters or Nabbit, they won’t be able to transform and will have to use the basic moves to clear every course. Yoshis do have the ability to eat enemies and double jump, which gives them a slight advantage in the course, but they can’t enhance their abilities with Power-Ups.

The other characters are similar to each other and don’t have unique abilities. They rely on Power-Ups that you get to pick up during the courses.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
