The Quarry: Chapter 4( Don’t Panic) – All Choices & Paths

After chapter 3, everybody is scared and some of the characters are hurt. They are trying to get to the lodge so, everybody can be safe and get out of this place in the morning. But it would take a lot to get to the lodge as monsters hunt them down.

In this guide, we tell you all choices & paths in the 4th chapter.

All Choices & Paths

While going through the story of the chapter, you’ll be controlling Ryan and you’ll get an interruption in which you have to apply pressure to Nick’s leg. Press the action button to perform pressure. It would hurt Nick. If you don’t apply pressure, nothing will happen. Dylan would say we should amputate Nick’s leg so, the infection would not increase. Ryan will get two options.

1- Frustrated

Ryan will disagree with Dylan and say that Nick needs proper medical attention.

2- Dismissive

Ryan will ask Dylan how he’s so sure that amputating the leg will help.

After the dialogues, the group will hear noises and Ryan will pick up the shotgun and we’ll get an interruption in which you have to Call Out to the noises. Press the action button to call out. Nothing will happen so it doesn’t matter if you don’t call out. After the interruption, Ryan will go near the bushes and you’ll get two options.

1- Shoot the Bush

Ryan will shoot in the bushes but nothing will happen.

2- Don’t Shoot

Ryan will shout that he has a gun and Kaitlyn mocks him.

If you choose, Shoot the Bush option then Kaitlyn will get angry at Ryan and you’ll get two options.

1- Apologize

Ryan will apologize to Kaitlyn.

2- Insistent

Ryan will tell Kaitlyn that he heard something in the bushes.

After that, the group will hear the noises again and we’ll again get the same two options. But this time, the choices you make will have consequences.

1- Shoot the Bush

Ryan will shoot the bush but he will hear nothing and the group will take Nick and head back to the lodge. But after they leave, the camera will cut back to the bush and show that Jacob was in the bush and got shot in the face. Jacob will die.

2- Don’t Shoot

Ryan will not shoot and Jacob will come out of the bushes.

If you choose to Shoot the Bush option then the cutscene will cut to Emma but if you choose the Don’t Shoot option then we’ll get a few more dialogues between Jacob and the group. While talking with the group, Jacob will get two options.

1- Questioning

Jacob will ask what happened to Ryan.

2- Concerned

Jacob will ask what happened to Emma.

After the dialogues and Jacob tells the group about Emma being at the lake. Ryan and Jacob will fight over the gun so Jacob can go and save Emma. We’ll get an interruption in which we get the option to Let Go of the gun. Press the action button to Let Go of the gun. If you don’t let go of the gun, Kaitlyn will break the fighting between Ryan and Jacob. If you Let Go of the gun, Jacob will get hit with the gun in the face and Jacob will swing for Ryan and we’ll get a QTE. Press the right cursor key to avoid getting hit.

After a few dialogues, the cutscene will cut to Emma. Emma is at the lake and she is near the treehouse. Emma will search the island while vlogging and she’ll see that she can go over the walkway or beneath it. You can go both ways and in each way, we’ll get extra dialogues from Emma talking about Jacob. If we go beneath the walkway, Emma will start vlogging and talking about the summer and being alone. We’ll get two options.

1- Aggressive

Emma will get angry at Jacob for leaving her alone on the island and she’ll ask her subscribers how she can prank Jacob to get revenge.

2- Reflective

Emma will say that Jacob and she had some good times and it will be a good memory of us but she has to go on her own path.

If you go up the stairs and walk over the walkway, Emma will start vlogging and we’ll get two options.

1- Annoyed

Emma will be annoyed with Jacob and say that he thinks the world revolves around him.

2- Compassionate

Emma will regret her decision to kiss Nick and feel sorry for Abi.

Keep following the path to the treehouse and go inside the treehouse. Emma will hear something up in the trapdoor. Emma will get two options here and choose wisely because one option can instantly kill Emma.

1- Open Trapdoor

If you open the trapdoor, a monster will jump down the trapdoor and it’ll kill Emma.

2- Search Bag

If you search the bag, you’ll find some clothes, a bear spray, and a taser. Then Emma will open the door.

If Emma dies, the scene will end there but if you have chosen the Search the Bag option then there’ll be a chase scene. When the monster comes down the trapdoor, Emma will have two options to defend herself.

1- Bear Spray

Emma will spray on the monster and it’ll give us a second to run from the treehouse.

2- Taser

Emma will tase the monster with a taser and the monster will get stunned.

If you choose the taser option when the monster is stunned, we’ll get an interruption in which we can take a photo of the monster. Press the action button to take a photo of the monster and run away. While running, we’ll get two QTEs. You’ll have to press the right cursor key and mash the action button in order to cross with the zipline. If you fail the action then you’ll get face to face with the monster but it doesn’t matter because after successfully pressing the button, Emma will still face the monster. We’ll get two options when we get to face the monster.

1- Run

Emma will run from the monster and we’ll have to perform two successful QTEs in order to escape. You need to press the Up Cursor key for both of the QTEs.

2- Spray

Emma will spray on the monster and run back to the treehouse. We’ll have to perform two successful QTEs in order to reach the treehouse. You need to press the Up Cursor key for both of the QTEs.

Once you’ve reached the treehouse, you’ll get two options to escape from the treehouse.

1- Block Door

Emma will block the door with a chair but the monster will come through the window and we’ll get two more options. We can use bear spray or use the trap door to escape. For both of these actions, you have to press the Down Cursor key and then mash the action button to escape from the trapdoor.

2- Use Trapdoor

Emma will run to the trapdoor and we’ll need to perform a couple of QTEs in order to climb through the trapdoor. You’ll need to press the Down Cursor key and then mash the action button to escape.

After escaping, the cutscene will cut to the group trying to get Nick back to the lodge. After some discussions with the group, Ryan and Dylan will make the decision to go to Chris’s office so, they use the telephone to make contact with the outside world. Ryan will talk about Nick’s wound and Dylan will get two options.

1- Hopeful

Dylan will tell Ryan that’s great news.

2- Paranoid

Dylan will disagree with Ryan and tell him that you don’t know anything.

Ryan will ask which number to dial and Dylan will get two options.

1- Determined

Dylan will tell Ryan to ask for help from the Police.

2- Curious

Dylan will be curious about the situation and tell Ryan to just tell them the problem so they can get help.

Ryan will dial the number of emergency services but the phone dies. Dylan will get two options.

1- Dismissive

Dylan will ask Ryan that did he hung up the phone.

2- Suspicious

Dylan will feel weird about how the phone just got hung up as soon as Ryan dials.

Dylan will take the gun to Chris’s office and Ryan will tell Dylan to put it back. Dylan will get two options.

1- Aggressive

Dylan will get angry and say that there are monsters hunting us and we need protection for ourselves.

2- Calm

Dylan will tell Ryan that he needs the gun to protect himself.

The light will get cut off and after some dialogues, Ryan will tell Dylan to leave the gun with Kaitlyn. Dylan will get two options.

1- Defensive

Dylan will ask Ryan that does Kaitlyn really needs a gun.

2- Aggressive

Dylan will tell Ryan to give his gun to Kaitlyn.

Then we’ll get to make a choice in which we have to Keep the Gun or Give the Gun. If you choose to Give Gun then Dylan will give the gun to Kaitlyn. If you choose to Keep Gun then Ryan will make a point to Dylan and give his gun to Kaitlyn. Then Dylan will realize that Ryan should have his gun so, Dylan will give away the gun. Regardless, whatever option you choose you have to give away the gun. After that Dylan and Ryan will leave the lodge.

If Emma is dead then the chapter will end here but if Emma is alive then there would be a small chase scene again with the monster. Emma will get out of the trapdoor and go towards the zipline. We’ll get two options, Reel in Slow or Reel in Fast.

1- Reel in Slow

Emma will reel in the zipline slowly and ride it to the boathouse on the opposite side of the lake and escape the chase.

2- Reel in Fast

Emma will reel in the zipline quicker and it will alert the monster. Monster will come for Emma and then we’ll two more options. Keep Reelin or Jump. If you choose Jump then Emma will jump on the zipline and get away. But if you choose to Reel in then the monster will bite Emma but Emma will not die and get away.
