Thief Simulator 2 - Distract Dogs

Robbing a house that has a dog as a resident can be extremely difficult as Dogs can see and hear you more precisely than humans. Most of the houses that have more valuable items will have at least 1 dog as a resident guarding the house. As every house has certain missions tied to it that you can complete to earn money and XP, you should learn how to distract the dogs to steal valuable items and complete the missions.

In this guide, we’ll be telling you how to distract dogs in Thief Simulator 2.

How to Distract Dogs in Thief Simulator 2

Thief Simulator 2 has a throwing mechanic through which you can throw small items like bricks to distract individuals but it is not very effective as it can raise suspicion detection. If you try to distract a dog with a brick, it will distract the dog for a moment but it raises suspicion among nearby residents in the house.

The best way to distract the dog is to distract it with a Dog Meat. Dog Meat is the best tool for distracting dogs as it does not make any noise on throwing the meat and the dog will completely ignore you while eating the meat. You can buy the Dog Meat from the Stealgear app on the computer in the Hideout for $25. To equip the Dog Meat, hold the Q Button to open the tool wheel and then select the Dog Meat from it. After that, simply press the LMB to throw the Dog Meat in the direction you are looking.

Buy a couple of Dog Meat from Stealgear and throw it near the dog to distract it to make your way inside the residence to loot valuables and complete missions.
