Cocoon: How to Defeat the Final Boss

The final boss in Cocoon is a Giant Butterfly Mech who will take all World Orbs except the White one shortly after the Jello Spider boss fight. Players will encounter the Butterfly Mech in three different areas where they have to deal damage to Mech to take one Orb back every time.

How to Defeat the Final Boss in Cocoon

As mentioned, the final boss has three different encounter sections in the final chapter of the game. All the sections are similar and require the same technique to defeat the Mech to obtain the World Orbs. You need to use the White Orb shooting power to shoot at the black diamonds to consume the black power which then can be used to shoot at the Mech to deal damage to it. In each section, you have to hit diamonds four different times but each section has a different behavior of diamonds in which they move.

• First Section: Diamonds will move in a circle.
• Second Section: Diamonds will move as you shoot.
• Third Section: The grid around you changes as you shoot and diamonds will go farther at every shot connect.

After each section, you will get to shoot at the Mech by consuming the black power. For the first section, the Mech will have no counter to your attack and give you the Orange Orb. For the second section, the Mech will counter your black power two times and you have to counter the attack as well to hit the Mech and to get the Green Orb. Finally, in the last section, the Mech will counter the attack 6 times. So, be ready for the deflection from your side as well to break the shield of Mech and to hit the Mech to get the Purple Orb back.

Once you get all the World Orbs back, the Giant Butterfly Mech will explode ending the final boss fight of the game.
