Fire Emblem Engage: How to Engrave Weapons

Fire Emblem Engage has different kinds of Weapons that can only be used by a specific Class Type. Players will get different Weapons as they unlock new characters or by defeating the enemies. Each Weapon has certain Stat Buffs that can be used as an advantage against certain enemies. However, players can also make the weapons stronger for a specific unit or character by engraving them.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to engrave weapons in Fire Emblem Engage.

Where to Engrave Weapons

Players will unlock the Engrave Weapons mechanic later in the game. After completing the 5th Chapter: Retaking the Castle, players will unlock different NPCs in Somniel Home Base of the Divine Dragon. One of the NPCs will be Smithy who will open a Shop in the Plaza. Players will be able to engrave the weapons of characters or units at the Shop of Smithy.

Engraving Weapons

Engraving a Weapon in Fire Emblem Engage is not about adding a style on to the weapon, it is about engraving your weapon with one of the Emblem Ring Signs. Each Emblem gives different boosts to the stats of the weapon you are willing to engrave and you can only engrave a single weapon to one Emblem. You cannot engrave multiple weapons with a single Emblem. You will have to engrave other weapons with other Emblems.

As you progress through the game, you will get more Emblem Rings which will allow you to Engrave more weapons. Although, it must be chosen carefully which weapon you want to engrave with which Emblem. The process of Engraving the Weapon is very simple and you can do that by the following steps.

After that, a small cutscene will roll and your selected weapon will be engraved with your chosen Emblem.

Cost of Engraving Weapon

Engraving your Weapon will also cost you the material of Bond Fragments. However, the cost of Bond Fragments will vary on the rarity of the Weapon. If you are engraving a low-rarity weapon, Bond Fragments will cost about 50 but if you are engraving legendary weapons or high-rarity weapons, it will cost you 100 – 250 Bond Fragments.

Make sure that you have enough Bond Fragments before you engrave your weapon with Emblem at Smithy’s.
