Lies of P: How to Jump
Lies of P is the latest Souls-like game with a similar control scheme and mechanics as the Souls-like games including some unique mechanics as well. If you have played any soul-like game before then you would know how useful rolling and jumping are in these kinds of games. Well, it is a similar case with Lies of P but the jump mechanic is one of the control schemes that a lot of players don’t know how to do, similar to Bloodborne.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to Jump in Lies of P.
How to Jump in Lies of P
Unlike Souls games where you don’t get a tutorial for how to jump, except Elden Ring, Lies of P does give you a tutorial on how to jump by showing the control scheme on the screen. Now, most of you players must be wondering, we didn’t see a thing like that. Yes, you did and it was right at the first area of the game, Krat Central Station. When you enter the Krat Central Station and go to the first floor to get your first backstab kill, the game will prompt the control scheme on the left side of the screen for both Dash and Jump mechanics.
Now, jumping in Lies of P is a bit weird compared to any other Souls-like RPG. You cannot jump while standing still. The only way to jump in Lies of P is when you are sprinting in a direction. So, to sprint in Lies of P, you have to hold the Dash action key which is Circle for PlayStation, B for XBOX, and SPACE for PC. As you are sprinting in a direction, you need to press the Left Stick Button (for both PlayStation and XBOX) or SPACE Key swiftly again (PC) to Jump in Lies of P.
It is a bit difficult at the start to jump your way around the enemies because you can mess up the control scheme as there are three different buttons you need to press for a simple jump. Fortunately, PC players who use a Keyboard and Mouse can ease things up for the jumping mechanic in Lies of P. If you go to the key Settings under the Keyboard & Mouse Tab in the main menu, you will be able to see the Jump action which can be changed from Space to any other key. The fact that Lies of P has separated the Jump function from the Dash/Dodge function is what allows PC players to only change the Jump key to another key while keeping the Space for Dash/Dodge/Sprinting.
There you have it, we hope you might know now how you can jump in Lies of P to make your way around the fallen enemies that you don’t want to kill again.
