Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak: Best Early Insect Glaive Build

Insect Glaive commands insects called Kinsects that absorb essence from your Prey and Buff yourself. You can go into midair with your glaive and do an attack named Kinsect Slash. This attack can only be done in mid-air but it allows you to attack the monster from every direction with Kinsects. It does massive damage and you’ll be absorbing extract during the attack. After getting the extract you can hurl an insect to deal massive damage to the monsters, the damage will rely on the amount of extract you have.

Best Early Insect Glaive Build

In the build we’ll be going through the Insect Glaive you want to use for this build, Gear that you want to wear, Decorations, and Skills.

Weapon

The Insect Glaive that you want to use is Kamura Warrior Glaive. It has a sharpness of Level Blue. It has an attack power of 250 on each hit. The slot for this weapon is Kinsect Level 8. The attacks of this weapon will get you through Master Rank 1 & 2.

Gear

The Armor pieces that you want to wear are the following.

For the Head, wear the Hunter’s Helm X armor. You can create this armor with Prized Pelt x1 and Eltalite Ore x2

For the Torso, wear the Barroth Mail X armor. You can create this armor with Velociprey Thickhide x2 and Carbalite Ore x2.

For the Torso, wear the Barroth Mail X armor. You can create this armor with Velociprey Thickhide x2 and Carbalite Ore x2.

For the Waist, wear the Hunter’s Coil X armor. You can create this armor with Velociprey Shard x2 and Jagras Shard x1.

For the Leg, wear the Hunter’s Greaves X armor. You can create this armor with Prized Pelt x1 and Twisted Stiffbone x2.

Decorations

You need to put the following jewels on the armor pieces.

• Razor Jewel Level 2 on Hunter’s Helm X.
• Grinder Jewel Level 1 on Barroth Mail X.
• Razor Jewel Level 2 on Velociprey Braces X.
• Steadfast Jewel x2 Level 1 on Hunter’s Coil X.
• Razor Jewel Level 2 on Hunter’s Greaves X.

Skills

You need to equip the following skills for this build.

• Attack Boost Level 5
• Item Prolonger Level 3
• Handicraft Level 3
• Quick Sheath Level 2
• Stun Resistance Level 3
• Razor Sharp Level 3
• Speed Sharpening Level 3
• Ammo up Level 1

After equipping the skills and putting jewels on the armor, Insect Glaive’s defense will go up to 410 and you can easily tank some of the hits. The Sharpness of this weapon will be maintained by Handicraft with Handicraft Jewel 3.
