There are various mechanics for increasing the Individual Values of your Pokemon in the Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Increasing the IVs will increase the stats of your Pokemon which is majorly useful in battles against High-level Pokemon. One of the methods to increase Individual Values is through Hyper Training.
In this guide, we’ll tell you what is Hyper Training and how can you do Hyper Training in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Hyper Training is a process of increasing the stats of your Pokemon which is majorly affects the IVs of the Pokemon. Individual Values are the stat points in all different six categories that you can see in the stats and moves list of your Pokemon. The stats list is the following.
- Sp. DEFENSE
- Sp. ATTACk
All these categories of the stat play a major role in describing the strength and defense of the Pokemon. You can increase it by doing Hyper Training. Hyper Training will put your Pokemon through the test and you get the option to increase the number of stats according to the number of special items that you have in your inventory.
How to Do Hyper Training
Players cannot do Hyper Training on their own instead, they have to interact with a specific NPC that will put their Pokemon through Hyper Train, and then you’ll be able to select which Stat they want to increase. The NPC that players need to find and interact with is in one of the Northern cities in the game so, players can only be able to Hyper Train their Pokemon, once they have progressed enough in the story to get to the Northern side of Paldea.
You can find the NPC behind the Pokemon Center of Monetenevera. There will be an NPC in a jacket with an Abomasnow. You need to interact with the NPC and it will tell you that he can Hyper Train your Pokemons in exchange for Bottle Caps.
Now, Bottle Caps is one of the most expensive items in the game. You can buy Bottle Caps from the Delibird Presents shops which are almost in every major town and city in the game. Once you’ve made your way to the Delibird Shop, you want to access the General Goods. The Bottle Caps will show in the General Goods list. Going into the General Goods list and the first item you’ll see is the Bottle Cap which has a selling price of 20,000. You can buy the Bottle Caps with cash as well as the League points.
After getting enough Bottle Caps, you need to go to that NPC in Monetenevera. Interacting with the NPC and accepting the Hyper Training of your Pokemon will open a menu where you need to select one of the Pokemons that you have. Select the Pokemon and then it’ll ask you what Bottle Cap you want to use. Select the Bottle Caps that you have and then you’ll get to select the stats you want to increase for your Pokemon. Keep in mind that one Bottle Cap only increases one stat so every stat that you select will cost you one bottle cap. If you run out of the Bottle Caps then you won’t be able to select further stats and you just have to select the last option in the menu which is “Start the Training!”.
