Rune Factory 5: How to have Children | Opposite Sex and Same-Sex

The Rune Factory 5 is a role-playing and simulation game in which you can have relationships with other characters throughout your gameplay. You can befriend a lot of characters and you can go out on dates with different characters in the game. You can marry only one character in the game which can be opposite sex or same-sex. In this guide, we’ll tell you about how you can have your children after your player’s marriage with the character.

Starting Family

After your marriage, talk with your spouse after 20 days of in-game time, they will tell you that they are interested in starting a family and they ask you if you are interested as well, so, you’re going to have two options. Yes, you are interested as well or you just want to stay as a couple for now. So, you can choose whether you like to become a parent or not in this game. If you choose that you want to stay as a couple so the cutscene will be postponed for some other day.

Getting Pregnant

If you choose that you are also interested then that will be the first step done in order to have children. Now what you want to do is to wait more 2 weeks in-game time. After two weeks when you talk with your spouse it will trigger the second baby event. So, you just talk to them and they will tell you that they are not feeling well and then you guys are going to go to the clinic. Next, there is going to be a cutscene with Simone and the dialogues will be changed if you are playing the male character or female character. So, she will check your spouse and tell you that she is not sick and in fact, she is pregnant and she’ll tell her to be careful and not work too hard.

Choose Baby Personality

After the clinic cutscene, speak with your spouse and they will ask you if you’re going to have a boy or girl so you can choose the gender or can select a random option. Random can be anyone boy or girl. In boys, there are three personalities.

  • Charming
  • Active
  • Quiet

As well as the girls also have three personalities.

  • Energetic
  • Mature
  • Quiet

When you select the gender for the baby the next step is to choose the personality corresponding to the baby’s gender. After choosing the personality you have to talk with your spouse after three weeks of in-game time.

Baby Event

When you talk to your spouse after three weeks after choosing the personality of the baby. It’ll trigger the baby event and your character will say that he can’t wait to meet their baby. Now another cutscene will start where she’ll give birth at the clinic and you’ll wait outside. Then you’ll come in and the spouse will be holding the baby. The first child will always look similar to the main character.

Then you choose the name of your baby and then there is a little cutscene where all the townsfolk are very warm and welcoming to your baby and you just show your baby to everyone. After this cutscene, it’ll show that a few years have been passed and your born baby will be grown.

Baby for Same-Sex

Now the process is the same here you have to wait for the event to happen. Only the cutscenes will be different. Now talk to your spouse after 20 days and they’ll tell you that they want a child in the family so you’ll get the options of yes or no. Choose yes and your spouse will suggest that we can talk to Livia. Now wait for two weeks and talk to your spouse and they’ll agree to go to Livia and then a cutscene will start in which you tell Livia that you want to have a child in your family. She’ll ask you how you are going to make that happen and your spouse will tell her that they really want to become parents and really want a child in the family. Then she’ll tell you that you can make a wish to the Big Tree. So, you’ll agree to make a wish to the big tree and right after this, there’ll be another cutscene where you and your spouse will make a wish to the Big Tree.

Choose Baby Personality

After the wish, talk to your spouse and choose the gender of the baby that you want to have and the personality of the baby. Now the wish is completely done and a little fairy will whisper that our wish has been accepted.

Baby Event

After the wish, wait for three weeks of in-game time and talk with your spouse and they’ll say we should go to the Big Tree to look at what’s happening there. Then you get the cutscene where there is a baby floating magically and it comes down to you and your character will be holding the baby. After this, we’ll go to Livia and show our baby to her and Simone as well. They’ll be surprised and really happy that we got our baby from the Big Tree. Right after this cutscene, you’ll get to choose the name of the baby. After this, there will be a cutscene where we’ll be showing our baby to everyone.
