For players to become a ferocious pirate of a vast sea, they must increase their infamy in Skull and Bones. Getting new weapons, tools, and even ships will require higher infamy along with the required materials.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to increase infamy in Skull and Bones.
What is Infamy in Skull and Bones
Infamy is basically your character level in Skull and Bones that is essential for unlocking new equipment, weapons, and tools for your character as well as new ships for you to sail on and conquer the seas. Similar to other RPGs, increasing your character level is essential throughout the playthrough and it is no different in Skull and Bones.
How to Increase Infamy in Skull and Bones
There are several ways to increase Infamy in Skull and Bones and one of the basic methods is to complete the main quests to progress in the campaign. Completing each mission will earn you a vast amount of experience which will help you increase your infamy and eventually level up to a new infamy. However, to speed up the process of increasing infamy, players must undertake contracts from various NPCs found around the world map.
The contracts are the side quests in Skull and Bones which will reward you with Silver and various useful items including raw materials and food along with a bunch of experience. It is recommended to undertake contracts from all the different NPCs in Saint-Anne to get as much experience as you can right from the beginning hour of the game to get access to new equipment. As you progress ahead in the campaign and unlock other regions, find new NPCs for which you can complete contracts to keep earning experience and increasing infamy.
Unlike most RPGs, Skull and Bones only has ten levels of Infamy which are the following.
One important thing worth mentioning is that you always undertake the contracts that match your Infamy rank. If you are on Outcast rank, skip the contracts that are for Scoundrel or above for later otherwise, you will get yourself killed.
