Thief Simulator 2 - Blowtorch

Thief Simulator 2 offers several tools that will help you in your thieving endeavors and help you find hidden valuables throughout several areas of the map. One of the tools that will help you find secret hidden items is a Blowtorch. The Blowtorch is mainly used to unlock the containers around the areas to get more precious items and as you progress in the main story, you will need a Blowtorch for one of the jobs.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get and use the Blowtorch in Thief Simulator 2.

How to Get a Blowtorch in Thief Simulator 2

The Blowtorch is one of the late-game tools that you will get to buy once you have made a decent amount of money and progressed into the main story. To get the Blowtorch, you need to buy it from the Stealgear app on the computer in the Hideout. Buying the Blowtorch will cost you $2,000. However, before you get to buy it, you need to unlock it by learning the Specialization (Level 1) skill. Once you have learned the skill, it will be available on Stealgear for you to buy.

How to Use a Blowtorch in Thief Simulator 2

To use the Blowtorch, you need to find the containers. There are several places at Madison St. that have a few containers in them. Each container has several valuable items that you can loot after unlocking the container. To unlock the container, open the tool wheel by holding the Q button and select the Blowtorch. Now, press and hold the LMB to use the Blowtorch until the container is unlocked.

The Blowtorch is mostly required for higher-level facilities that hold containers and you will get to use the blowtorch in several heists as well.
