Cyberpunk 2077: Official apology for bugs and first information about patch 1.05

CD Projekt Red apologizes in an official statement for the bugs of Cyberpunk 2077 and the state of the last-gen versions on PS4 and Xbox One. After update 1.04 with bug fixes and performance optimization, about which we already reported, patch 1.05 will soon appear and further improve the role-playing game technically.

When will patch 1.05 be released?

CD Projekt Red promises the release within the next seven days, so Update 1.05 will probably hit this week for PC and consoles. In addition, patches should follow regularly as soon as the corresponding improvements are available.

Two major updates are already planned for January and February, which should fix the biggest problems on PS4 and Xbox One. PC gamers would also “benefit from the planned updates and bug fixes”. The exact contents of the patch notes should be announced in advance.

The PC version runs much more smoothly than the console version, especially when it comes to Last-Gen. For many, however, it brings bugs, glitches, and other errors with it.

Apart from that, the first free DLCs have already been announced for the beginning of 2021. It is still unclear whether the developers can stick with it despite the current technical situation. We have devalued Cyberpunk 2077 due to the numerous bugs.

Do I get my money back?

What can I expect on the console? According to CD Projekt Red, the last-gen version will never look like it does on a high-end PC ( by the way, you can read how Cyberpunk 2077 maxes out your hardware in the technology check ) or the next-gen consoles, but it should at least approximate. You can read more about the status of the version on PS4 and Xbox One in the console test of the GamePro colleagues . Or you can get a first impression of the differences in the graphic comparison:

What about refunds? The developers ask for patience and a second chance. Should you still want to return your game, you can do so on the console via the digital reimbursement system of the Xbox or on PSN, or for retail versions via the retailer from whom you purchased Cyberpunk. There are currently user reports circulating that this is possible even if you have been playing for a while:

Refunds are also possible on the PC, apparently for some players even after the actual return period (two hours of playing time on Steam) has expired. If a return is not possible for any reason, CD Projekt Red wants to help itself: You can contact the developer by December 21 at

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
